I first encountered Dr. Schaffer when I went to see him when I started to feel pain in my joints that would not go away. I told him that I had 8 out 10 symptoms for Psoriatic Arthritis. He dismissed my concerns.
I went to have work done on my feet and the surgeon told me he would not treat me until I saw a Rheumatologist or I will only suffer more joint damage. I had to go back to this guy for a referral. He dismissed me. 8 months stuck in this little town and I never could get a referral. Now after moving back east my Dr sent me to a Rheumatologist. Sure enough through all my symptoms and pain I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthris. 8 months of joint damage I need new knees, new shoulder, thumb joint and I am unable to work in just that short time I became crippled.

He did not believe me. He thought that I was lying to him!

Dr schaffer is a great dr he has helped me and my wife tremendously best primary dr ive ever had since i was a child give him a chance and let him do his job he even correctly diagnosed me with a condition i didn't believe i had until i had to go to the arizona arthritis association in flagstaff they confirmed!! His previous diagnosis.we look forward to seeing him thats a great dr. thank you dr ramon schaffer.

THE WORST DR ON THE MOUNTAIN!!! Dr Schafer is a corporate slave! YOU WILL NOT GET GOOD TREATMENT HERE. He shrugs off any other specialists recommendations and belittles your condition making you feel worse than when you walked in the place. If you have a serious condition, don't waste your time with this scared corporate quack, he is out for the $ and DOES NOT GIVE A SHT ABOUT YOU! If your a local, just ask around and you will see... I truly hope this post will save some of you the grief I have encountered with Dr. Schafer O.D. (not DO lol). I fired him!! Hopefully we can get a good Dr back in Heber again someday...Good luck 🙂

This doctor don’t know what he’s talking about he is a insensitive he treated my dad like he was a nobody if you need to see a doctor don’t go with him he don’t care if your in pain he don’t even deserve one star he left my dad to suffer he needs to go back to med school or go work at a dump were he belongs!😡😡

I have time sensitive medical issues and never got a phone call. Then when I called directly, he was on vacation. No warning or referral to other Docters.
