Both my husband and myself are Dr. Chapla's patients. I personally LIKE the fact that Dr. Chapla is caring and thorough, and is so clearly dedicated to our health and well-being. He takes his time with his patients and doesn't overbook like other doctors do (which explains why his waiting room isn't typically full).

Initially, we had some problems with rude / uncaring front office staff; but in recent history, they have been really nice and helpful (today one of the front office girls took a copy of a delicious-looking recipe that I saw on one of their wall calendars).

Anyhow, we are so glad to have a caring, capable doctor like Dr. Chapla on our side.

My wife had her first appointment with Dr. Shapla and he made her cry. He might be a good doctor, I don't know, but his bedside manners are terrible. He is uncaring, not companionate and just rude. My wife is a strong woman but this Dr. is something else.

Less than one star. The new doctor is unethical and a narcissist! This doctor cut off medication which is not meant to be cut off at any time. He is without feeling and compassion this man should be avoided at all cost. Loser!

I just contacted Dr. Shapla’s office. I was told by my insurance provider he was my new PCP and I could them to make an appointment. I called to make said appointment and was greeted by 2 women who were crude, aggressive and EXTREMELY unprofessional. I have laryngitis, so I couldn’t speak loudly. Both women were unsympathetic to this and became basically belligerent. Once they received my info, they proceeded to tell me I couldn’t make an appointment until July and I needed to contact my insurance company. Here’s the thing, when you work in the medical field-no matter the facet-you should empathize and be welcoming as people are coming to you with illness. Being a receptionist is also a customer service oriented position, therefore the least that can be done is show professionalism in the workplace. I told the second woman I spoke to that I wouldn’t being seeking this doctors aid. As I was hanging up I clearly heard “oh really, well...” I just didn’t engage. Anyone who would employ staff with such abhorrent social skills to those in need, might not be much better.

First clue you should know about a doctor's office regardless of what day it is, if you don't see anyone sitting down. Then chances are, the doctor isn't too great. He gets a bit too personal with his patients borderlining invading their personal lives and when it comes to disabilities like Autism. He doesn't understand it at all and tries to talk like he knows what he's talking about while not being very knowledgeable. If you have a mental disability, I would not go to this doctor at all.

My 92 year old father is in peril and this doctors office refuses to release his medical records without a 30 day notice. He could be dead in 30 days!

My aunt had an appointment here. Not a good experience, Very unprofessional! She was very scared when she came out his office. We had to change her provider, she said she hopes no woman has to deal with him, ever!

This man is very special. He's down to earth, caring and extremely intelligent. I absolutely love him. His staff was efficient, the nurse very nice. I am grateful to have made their acquaintance.
