To clarify, I would give Dr. Totoian FIVE STARS - he is a wonderful physician. My mom has been his patient for nearly ten years and I've accompanied her to every appointment; she's always spoken of him highly and been very happy with the level of care she's received from him. I'm protective of my mom, who is elderly and increasingly medically fragile, so I've observed their interactions closely and I find his manner to be compassionate and warm. It's a bonus that Dr. T is patient and has a delightful sense of humor.
I don't know if this particular person is the office manager or a receptionist who takes calls/handles scheduling/patient issues, but Dr. Totoian needs to hire someone else for that position. My mom has struggled with her for years and that same person was discourteous and difficult when I called today to ask a straightforward question about lab work. I understand her job is likely often stressful and everyone has an occasional off day, but she's been inexcusably rude to my mom for years, nearly every time she's called his office.

I don't think it's asking too much that his office staff interact with patients in a professional and civil manner, particularly those who may be struggling with illness and/or disabilities. Please hire someone who will do better.

Dr.Totian has always been very professional and a pleasure to connect with. He takes his time to discuss with me what is needed and why. I trust him completely. Also has a very pleasant personality

Dr. Totoian is very thorough physician. He is kind and genuinely cares about his patients. Office staff are always warm, friendly and accommodating with scheduling and referral needs. I highly recommend this provider.

The Doctor is WONDERFUL!!! Caring & does not rush the appointments. My husband & I are very comfortable & confident with his direction in health care.

On the other hand, ....Carol ..... the office manager is absolutely a nightmare to deal with!!!!!!!!

We have recently moved on. Carol has Failed to follow thru with 2 Specialist Referrals. When we asked her about it she is extremely agitated. We don't need her attitude. We need to have Confidence with the entire office.

My husband & I see Dr. Totian Extremely good diagnostician and think he is a wonderful astute doctor, he listens and takes time with you. Very thorough on your medications and testing and goes over your concerns. Excellent bedside manner, very polite and goes the extra mile for his patients. The staff are very accommodating as well and work with your work schedule, very flexible. Highly recommend him.
