I wholeheartedly recommend Divine Fijian Home Care and "Illy" for compassionate and skilled caregiving. She provided exceptional care and support for my mother during a very difficult time for our family.

Illy's care began while my father was hospitalized. She quickly established a warm and caring rapport, providing not only essential assistance with everything from personal care reminders to accompanying my mother to the hospital, ensuring she had meals, and offering much-needed breaks from worry, but also much-needed companionship. She was incredibly patient, understanding, and respectful of my mother's needs and wishes.

Throughout this time, and even during the most challenging moments, Illy consistently maintained a positive and cheerful attitude, not only with my mother, but also with other family members and friends. This positive energy was a true gift.

Following my father's passing, Illy's support became even more invaluable. She provided comfort and emotional support during a time of grief, while continuing to assist with daily needs. I was particularly impressed with Illy's ability to gauge my mother's emotional state and provide exactly the right kind of support. For example, when my mother was feeling up to it, Illy encouraged her to go for walks, which helped both physically and emotionally. Illy also helped my mother connect with her friends, recognizing the importance of social interaction. She also provided spiritual comfort, which was very meaningful. Illy's empathy was evident in the way she comforted my mother when she cried, and even cried with her, sharing in her grief in a way that felt supportive and genuine.

Beyond emotional support, Illy proactively took care of small but important details and assisted with light housework, such as running a load of laundry, setting out clothes the night before, ensuring a smooth start to the next day. As my mother began to experience some memory challenges, Illy provided gentle reminders, always patient and never condescending.

When it came time to move my mother to assisted care, Illy was an invaluable part of the solution. She helped sort and fold clothing, assisted my mother in trying on clothes, and helped her decide what she wanted to take with her. This process was made so much easier with Illy's calm and organized approach.
Illy treated my mother with genuine care and love. Her professionalism, reliability, and dedication were truly exceptional.

Her kindness and care mean so much, and we are truly grateful for all that she has done.

Caregiver Emele cared for my wife during the final four months of her life with love and thoughtfulness. She cleaned her, changed her clothes and dressings, changed and laundered bedding, clothes and towels and adjusted her position in bed to keep her comfortable. Emele made sure my wife took her medications as scheduled and fed her meals, washed dishes and even watered and cared for plants, both indoors and outside. She was very punctual and fit in like one of the family. My wife loved Emele and told her how much she meant to her before she passed away. I whole heartedly recommend Emele as a competent and compassionate caregiver.

I recently called Divine Fijians Home Care in desperate need of care for my mom the next day. The wonderful Nomi came to my house that very afternoon, did an assessment, and assured me that he could find coverage for mom for the next day. It was a miracle! The next day, right on time, Joana arrived and was every bit as wonderful as Nomi. She quickly absorbed all the ins and outs of Mom’s care and got to work getting to know Mom. I was able to leave knowing that Mom was in good hands. Joana kept me posted on how Mom was doing. And when I got home, Mom told me that it had been a lovely visit. Overall, it was an awesome experience which I would be happy to repeat and to recommend.

Divine Fijians Home Care is a wonderful company to work with. The caregiver that took care of both my parents-in-law, until my father-in-law's passing, and after, was professional, caring, compassionate, and consistently wonderful with both of them. My father-in-law needed assisted living help and my mother-in-law needed memory care help (moderate dementia) and Filipe was able to attend to both their needs. The care in which Filipe helped my father-in-law through the last couple months of his life was invaluable! We could not have asked for more! Once my mother-in-law moved in with us, we retained Filipe for "daycare" help and he interacted and mobilized my mother-in-law so that she was able to be "exercise" her cognitive abilities as well as her physical movement. We cannot say enough about how wonderful Filipe was. We also really appreciated the professionalism and responsiveness of the administrators of Divine Fijians. When we had questions or needed updated documentation, they gave us what we needed and communicated with us quickly and consistently as possible. We highly recommend Divine Fijians Home Care!
