I am a “heart patient”, having had open heart surgery last May at French Hospital. My first experience at French began in the emergency room after having a heart attack. A triple bypass was required and the recovery journey has been long. Part of that healing process has been going to cardiac rehab twice a week (for 16 weeks now, only two weeks left to go!) and the nurses in that unit are outstanding. They know their stuff, are efficient, but most impressive is there ability to make you feel comfortable and supported in your recovery process. I love everyone in the cardiac rehab unit! And I cannot thank you enough for helping to ease and guide my journey at a time when I have felt like I was on a roller coaster with so many ups and downs. THANK YOU FRENCH HOSPITAL CARDIAC UNIT for all your great care and sincere caring!

Every time i go to French, it’s a pleasant experience. From the security guard in the parking lot to the doctors and nurses in the ER, ALL of them work hard to make you comfortable. They are professional and knowledgeable! They explain everything and really listen to you! I would not go anywhere else! French is the place to go, from getting lab work done to an Emergency Room visit, Go to French , you’ll be glad you did

My father Neil Zweemer was admitted into ICU July 2024, this was my mom and myself's 2nd major experience with a hospital stay and the staff. EVERYONE from the ER intake staff, to the emergency surgery doctors, to the ICU nuses and doctors were truely amazing and all of them communicated 100% about what was going on with my dad. Some nurses who names really stood out from their care were Sarah, Briana, Liset, Isabelle, Marwa, Mariah, Carson, the team of doctors were Dr. Canfield, Dr. Niku, Dr. Minsuri, Dr. Ryan, and not to be forgotten was Peter the hospital chaplain, the man had the most amazing energy and love in the blessing he gave my father before passing. There were even more nurses I'm sorry I cant remember all their names! Although my dad passed away in the end, this team at French hospital was so amazing and did everything in their power and with the upmost care, love, kindness and respect. The nurses and doctors are our heros and they made this experience the best it could be for my mom and I. There wasnt a single bump in the road or question about what was being performed or why. The entire ICU team is amazing as well as the other hospital staff who worked with us. I'm so proud to write this and that we have this level of care here in Slo County. I am forever grateful, it takes a special kind of person to do this job, and it certainly shows just how special this hospital is, and the folks and managers who hire the right staff to create this great team effort. Amazing office staff and support team. Chelsea Crawford is the most caring and supportive physicians assistant I have ever been seen by. She makes going to the doctor feel like seeing a friend for coffee.
She is understanding and listens and does not seem rushed or hurried. Absolutely the best experience, which means a lot coming from someone that does not like going to the doctor.

I had a total hip replacement at French Hospital and I have NEVER had a more positive medical experience. From the admittance staff all the way to the physical therapy team and the to the caring male nurse that waited with me to help me into the car after I was done.
WOW! What a beautiful group of people!

Great staff and physicians. Good patient flow and nice accommodations. My only complaint is the person who attempted my iv 3 times (Nick?) without success went back to the desk and could be heard loudly exclaiming to the nurses that you had to embrace your failures and even major league baseball players strike out often. Next time, he needs to be less joyful and robust about his failures and watch the next person so he learns how to start an iv efficiently.
