my local dentist who is fantastic dropped my plan so I'm trying to cancel. You have to call to cancel and the line just rings and rings for hours with no one picking up, no matter what day or time you call. The posted hours for the hotline are also a lie. How are you supposed to get money back? This is a total scam. Less than 1 star.

DentalPlan.com is useless, a waste of money and if you find someone to take the discount plan, it is at best 10.00 off or less than .05 percent of the total charge by the provider. I never was able to find any dentist that would take it and never used it. After 11 months and 15 days they changed my CC for an even higher amount than the original amount without my permission. I started calling on the date they charged my CC, I have called over 30 times to cancel plan over 3 days, during more than 30 calls I held over 4 hours every day. The 3 times when someone answered I had gone thru the automated matrix and had to indicate I want a new plan or was new to the site. If you don't do that, no one will ever answer the call. Each time I held for over a hour, but I did finely have someone answer the line and their speech was barely understandable as English, but could not help me and then transferred me to another extension where I was on hold again for hours. Has to stop charge on CC to cancel. Still no reply from DentalPlans.com.

Poor plans and dentists dont follow the prices offerd by Dentalplans.com. When you call them there is no proper answer. very disappointed. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLANS!!

This place has excellent customer service and I would use them again in a heartbeat! They were there for me at the last minute when I thought I was stuck with a medical emergency without insurance. Then when it turned out I didn't need them after all, they were quick to refund my $ and handled the whole affair with grace and class.

Horrible, horrible, they should be ashamed! I called a week before an eye appointment to confirm my coverage, I printed all the information and found out it was all incorrect. After calling 6 times as well as my provider calling, I had to pay my bill in full. Four hours later they called to tell me that they had given me all the wrong information and that now that had the correct phone number for me to call as well as the plan #. Considering I had to pay the Doctor in full as well as pay for a non existent discount ,I'd say that they are good at taking advantage of people and nothing else.

These guys refuse to cancel my membership and continue to charge my account, while telling me the exact opposite. I've canceled twice and each time they never send a confirmation email. Basically they will steal from you once you buy in. I'm going to have to deal with my bank just to prevent future charges. Use these guys if you want to throw your money away. The service never helped cover any dental bills anyway.

Brought plan for my parents and didn't even use it. Dentist offices that do accept the plan, staff doesn't know anything about the program when booking. You will get calls and voicemails everyday to renew the plan.

*edit to be fair* finally got ahold of a rep who gave me her name, was super professional, and is going to be refunding the past payments as the rep didn’t take me off of auto renewal when I called initially. Flo is who I spoke to and she was very helpful!

Wouldn’t recommend! I purchased a plan and then found ACTUAL insurance that was cheaper (I didn’t realize this wasn’t insurance) and called and spoke to a rep to cancel and get my initial payment. The rep assured me it was cancelled and would be refunded in like 3-5 or 5-7 business days. Never got refunded and I just realized they never cancelled the plan and have been taking out funds each month. Called the cancellation dept yesterday around 4 and they were closed so I called again and pressed the “start membership,” option and was answered within 2 minutes, then transferred several times only to be told that I’d have to call back the next day. Emailed with no response (and you can only cancel by calling.) On hold for 20 minutes now still trying to cancel the membership and get all these payments refunded.
Overall sketchy business and rude representatives (unless you’re wanting to open a membership, then they’re friendly.)
