Normally I have a tough time getting an appointment but they put me with Dr Sosonov and I really hope he sees this review. Dr Sosonov is the first male doctor I have ever felt comfortable with in my life. He diagnosed me as obese but was so kind about it. And I mean I knew, so it was no surprise. But he also didn’t tell me “you’re too fat go lose weight”. He didn’t even mention losing weight or dieting because that’s not what I came in there for. Shout out to Dr Sosonov! Because of him I had a great Friday

Great service! DGMC McClellan team has been awesome! Polite, professional, and efficient. Each time I’ve called with a special request, they’ve been able to take care of it within 24 hours. Minus one star because it’s hard to get a live person on the phone when I call in - need to leave a message and they’ll call back - but once I get in touch with them it’s taken care of. Note: as if Sept 2019, there’s some minor chaos due to the Defense Health Agency Genesis Portal transition so the ability to make appointments and send messages via Tricare Online or Genesis is being worked out so patients need to call in for now. Hopefully it gets smoothed out soon.

Either way, I’m happy with the DGMC McClellan team!

Way understaffed. Went 3 mo w/o a Dr because there was none available. Dr doesn't call in new one s after promising. Lets crucial prescriptions expire. Admits to forgetting to put in a new one, then forgets again (third time (after 2 failed visits to the pharmacist was a charm)...bc they are understaffed. Forgot to send specialist bloodwork after promising to get it in ASAP, one month later, the specialist still doesn't have it. Laughed at by the PA, yelled at by the nurse, and hung up on. I think witchcraft would be more effective than the pathetic joke of medical "care" at McLellan. AVOID at all costs, your life may depend on it. Military members and their families deserve better.
