The care they gave my mother was very good. Especially the team on Palm Unit.
They had to move my mother because she was not getting better.
My Dad was there 25 years ago.

This place is so DIRTY the some of the cna's are so rude and lazy as hell lights be on for 20 minutes and the nurses are a joke Adam is the WORST nurse if your scheduled medicine and your sleep he won't wake you for you scheduled medicine, he walks down the hall with his ear buds in both his ears he can't hear anyone calling for him IF he passing meds. They come to work telling there personal business. Kory the wound nurse tells bad jokes I reported her to the DON he said he will talk to her and have her apology to me I'm still waiting on it. I'm currently homeless and she was changing my bandage and she said it would be hard to for me to change it in McDonald's bathroom, very disrespectful, they think they can talk to people anyway they want to because of our situation. The food 🤢 I got moled cookies and watery sour peach coobler and I have pictures and video to prove it big changes need to done around here there is poop on the walls in my bathroom that's been there since they moved me to this room. This place needs to be upgraded it could be a really good place if staff actually cared. Today the case worker and DON are painting door and walls, that just means somebody very Important is coming here, it's sad that they do this to look good for the owner where in reality it's really dirty, housekeeping use the same mop for every room spreading germs from contact rooms to non contact rooms and the bucket they use are so dirty at the bottom they just put clean water inside of dirty buckets then go from room to room mopping the floors

This isn’t care. It’s neglect with a front desk.

There’s something deeply wrong when the walls of a so-called healthcare center echo with cries for help — unanswered — because the staff doesn’t want to be “inconvenienced.” When you’re surrounded by the stench of filth, food that should never be served to another human being, and staff who act like they’re in a breakroom, not a care facility.

This isn’t just mismanagement. It’s systemic cruelty, hiding behind a fresh coat of paint and a few rehearsed smiles when visitors come through.

You can mop the floors. You can repaint the walls. But you can’t cover up what this place really is:
A machine that runs on silence, indifference, and the belief that no one is watching.

But we are watching.

Only place i know that would let the elderly and many more disabled to let their room help button go off for hours and letting patients sit in their urine/fecal matter for hours sometimes day my cousin was one of those mistreated and they're overall unprofessional and wouldn't send my dying squirrel in for help nice to know my taxes are wonderfully spent as I hear nurses bad mouthing their patients do they or did they take or know what hippa is? What a joke

Staff was dedicated to providing the best possible care. Unfortunately, while out of my room for just 3-4 mins, my cell phone was stolen. Not sure if that was d/t outside people in the facility or...
Abour 48 hrs later it was found in the trash bin....

Many of the favorable reviews I read sound as if they were paid for! Unfortunately, I have been here for over a year. I have had many CNAs who are very nice and caring. But, they are outnumbered by the uncaring, rude, and useless CNA's. I'm un-moble and depend on the CNA'S for everything. Including changing my diaper. There are many times I lay in my dirty diaper. Sometimes over 2 hours. After I push my help button to ask for help. The light is turned off by a CNA, and I'm told that they will be right back or tell my CNA to help me.
Also, I am not given a shower because the staff is too busy or understaffed.
I have spoken to the manager in charge of the CNA'S (Ana) and have told her that the CNAs complain about being understaffed. Her response was that they have the state approved amount of staff needed to care for their patients.
Today, I was starting a new medication given once a week. It was scheduled for 6:00am. I set my alarm so as to be awake in time for my shot. The nurse who was supposed to administer my medication (Debbie) documented that I refused my medication. Which is a blatant lie! And that my dose for today was thrown away. Now I'll be a dose short!
I've tried calling the people in charge, but nobody answers. If I leave a voice mail, my call is never returned. Many of the reviews I read today have responses stating that we are concerned about your issue and to call them directly. But a phone number is never listed. So, here I am with today's issues. Hopefully, I receive a legitimate response!

My card says it all about how I am super grateful for everyone's help, since the 1st day I got to Coronado I felt comfortable i will not forget the great experience i had here, they will never know how grateful i am and how they helped save my life & the CNA's are the heart of Coronado, all the staff have a sincere and genuine concern about getting you healthy again ❤️

I was a previous worker, in reality, the joint isn't too great. I would recommend another hospital. I've heard nothing but complaints from the residents at Coronado. They offered me a 20 dollar gift card to give them a 5 star review, so if they have a high star count, it may be fabricated. There are good employees, sure, but I hear from the residents that they don't get proper care, with a lot of mistakes. If you want your loved one to have proper care, this one is most likely not it. Once the insurance is up, they get the boot and are left to fend for themselves.
