I needed some emergency contact lenses on my vacation to Coronado and stopped by Coronado Eye Care. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Within a couple minutes I had my exact prescription and was able to continue to enjoy my vacation. Highly recommended.

I decided to take a week post-incident to write this review.

The facility is top-notch and the staff is incredible. They use best-in-class technology and their technicians are highly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The front of the house staff is wonderful, efficient and helpful.

However, I found “Dr.” Moffett to be demeaning, rude and verbally inappropriate. He mimicked me, using assaultive and highly demeaning language when I told him I could not see a STOP sign with the trial contact lenses he had prescribed. He also told me I didn’t have a childhood surgery at the age of 18 months (which I indeed had) and that I must have been over the age of 7 for any such thing. Ha! And, had the audacity to double-down when I confirmed my age. At one point, I just stared directly at him without speaking. He got the message.

He then gave me a second set of trial lenses that were also so terrible that I thought he must have mixed up the boxes.

I refused to see him again, saw the alternate doctor in the office who I believe is Dr. Giles, who was professional and lovely, (think Dad vibes), gave me a completely different prescription which worked out great.

I will never return to this office despite a wonderful staff.

From out of state on vacation, had two pair of glasses, one for reading and the computer,, sat on my pair of regular glasses, looked like a herd of elephants ran over them, took them to Coronado Eye Care, very efficient and courteous staff member took them and 5 minutes later they were their old self. Dr Moffet and his staff are wonderful. He literally saved my sight. I was getting a haircut and noticed that my vision in the R eye looked like and eclipse was happening! I believed my retina was detaching which is an optho emergency. I literally ran over to Dr M’s office ( he was packed) he did some testing, exam and yes my retina was detaching. He called a colleague who got me in the next day at 8 am and the retinal specialist repaired it by noon. That’s my best story, but I have others. Cannot recommend he and his staff more.

I was at the Del for a work conference when my glasses basically fell apart. I stopped in just to get a repair kit and the amazing staff offered to fix it for me for free. Can't say thank you enough, they even did a little tune up and replaced the pads. Wonderful staff, great shop in town.

The Doctor was thorough and efficient. I appreciated his time and gentle demeanor. I was disappointed after my appointment. I asked for a copy of my prescriptions: single distant vision and computer glasses. I was provided a copy of the single vision prescription, but not a copy of the computer glasses prescription. I was told the computer glasses prescription had not been entered into my record yet. I don't understand, as I watched the doctor update my prescriptions while chatting in the examination room. I was told they would email me the computer glasses prescription. It has been a solid week - no email prescription. Disappointed in the front office help.
