Psychiatrist Muhammad disregarded proof that my diagnosis of Bipolar 1 is inaccurate, and that the hypomania/mania episodes were caused by substance/medication which invalidates criteria for Bipolar 1.

Everything about Copa Gateway seems okay EXCEPT the incompetent psychiatrist who didn’t want to help me with my depression and issues

Hey guys! So I have some fun stuff to share with you 💁🏾‍♀️ I’ve been at Copa health gateway for two years and for two years I’ve been abused neglected threaten dehumanized and discriminated against.

I have multiple recordings of the neglect and abuse verbally, physically, mentally, emotionally, force, misrepresentation of the law, retaliation, and aggression from the staff inside copa health gateway. I’ve even showed them the device I was recording the interactions I’ve had with staff over the phone/zoom calls and in person. They choose not to believe me. I’ve recently caught them perjuring the courts and corresponding emails with said perjury on gateway’s side.

How to maintain your sanity, freedoms, legal rights, and your lively hood and over all health welling being.

1: Read your COT paperwork often and any and all updates on said case.

2: keep a recording device on you at all times when dealing with these people they will give you a wrong diagnosis on purpose just to use you as a form of extortion just to get money from the state since places like this have contracts with the courts.

3: ask for copies of all your paperwork including your med records.

4: get a mental health POA And make sure every last paper is detailed in how you’d like to be care for while dealing with mental health. Yes you can add more pages too your MHPOA paperwork. MHPOA have a HIPPA waiver.

5: read and know you’re rights contact the state, mercy care, medical board, board of nursing, an attorney, AG’s office, and APS. yes these places will do something even you contacting some them frequently with evidence and updates. That will give the state notice.

6: get a lawyer. Most (there is probably more then that I just don’t know) malpractice attorneys are contingency based.

7: Your COT is only valid in Arizona so if you leave the state they can’t chase you or make you come back. Especially if you didn’t commit a crime you are golden ✌🏾

Had to go to this place and the appointment team sucks. They cancel, reschedule and schedule appointments without communication, not reaching out until you've missed the appointments. Not only that, but the appointments are wayyyyy off. I'll schedule an appointment, show up 10 minutes before and be kept waiting for 45-90 minutes before seeing the provider.

If you actually want to use the services or the ability to make an appointment, go with literally any other location

Will give you the run around about trying to change your prescriber for two years. Their prescribers will insist a medicine does not cause a side effect even if it's literally the first result for "(medicine) side effects". For the sake of your health go to literally anyone else.

I filed a formal complaint with insurance more than once and these people's only response was "if we wait long enough they'll forget they wanted to see a different doctor". Haven't heard from my case manager in six months until the day after I filed yet another grievance.

I needed a letter for a prescribed dog I've had for years. A letter they already gave me before. I just needed the current years date on it. Guess what happened? If you guessed it took six months and multiple calls and complaints to get it, you were right!

I told them I refuse to see the prescriber again, and they tried to bait-and-switch me into an appointment with them by sending me appointment notices for a different providers name until ten minutes before the appointment where they sent me - you guessed it - a telehealth invite to see the same provider again!

If I could PAY to give this place negative stars and pin this review to the top of the page I WOULD.

I would give negative stars if I could. This play and the pharmacy will lie to you gaslight you judge you. In times of crisis they will make things worse for you don’t expect any help. My dad is dying and I cant get a thirty day supply of my meds. To go be with my father across the country while he is hanging on for life and needs to be transferred to a bigger hospital for treatment and he has no one but me. They filled my meds early for my may vacation I went in vacation again in July and they filled my meds early and now I have a crisis and they refuse to fill my meds early even though the provider told them it was ok. So if you have money and are able to travel they will judge you and deny you your prescription meds when you absolutely need them the most. They will hang up on you they will tell you you’re being abusive to them when you a crying and begging them for help as your parents life hangs in the balance.

Copa has never returned any of our calls when we have had concerns with our loved one. We had been reaching out to let them know what was happening and instead they were rude, condescending, and lacked empathy. Their lack of concern has been a great disappointment and proved that mental health has so much work needed to really be able to offer help instead of being treated like a number or just another family member that’s annoying.

My husband has been transferred here, and they don’t return our calls, to get him an appt, when he does get an appt , they don’t listen to him , they lack empathy and care for patients, we tried to get him transferred to another facility and that been a big joke, they say he’s transferred and when you call the other facility they say they never received his patient file, he hasn’t been scene in a year because of them just sending us back and fourth, this is only like 5% of our issues with this place, if I listed everything I would write a novel, I don’t recommend this place at all, if a loved one or yourself Is ever transferred here, find them a different place, somehow, someway, because they will treat you like your mental health means nothing, all you are to them is a case file that gets thrown to the side, and forget even trying to get an appt or in contact with your team, because either they don’t answer you and if you need an appt they’ll say we have to email them and we’ll call you back and you NEVER get a callback or they’ll schedule you an appt, and not tell you so then you miss your appt. Save yourself the headache and try to find another place, because your mental health DOES NOT matter to them.

They've always been good to me; sometimes I go a fair piece of time without my case mgr. But my needs are still always met, medically and psychologically.
