Dr. Shapiro and his staff are great. They are accommodating and friendly. They always answer all my questions and address all my concerns. Dr. Shapiro is very thorough and detailed. I had a great experience, starting with the staff who truly cares about you. They are willing to help out in any way they can.
Dr Shapiro was fantastic he took his time explaining his entire treatment and completely gave us a thorough explanation of the test results. He explained what his goal was with the plan and worked to ensure I had complete buy-in to the plan.

My whole office, including myself, are functional medicine patients of Dr. Shapiro. We travel in from Nassau Bahamas to see them. He is a wonderful doctor and truly cares about each of his patients. Dr. Shapiro took decades of confusion, discomfort, and toxic medications and replaced them with knowledge/understanding, natural supplements, and hope!!!

He has a great way of explaining complex medical results and creates such a thoughtful plan catered to your specific needs. Shapiro and his team are always prompt and responsive. You will feel like a part of the family! Functional medicine should always be the first approach to medical needs.

Great for GI map testing to see what is wrong and out of balance.
I needed a foods to not eat list which I didnt get. I do belive Jason's heart is in the right place while trying to help patients.

His protocol didn't work for my h pylori.

When I said it feels like h pylori is still there after completing triple therapy course and that I would like to retest sooner, I was told to wait an additional 2.5 months to complete his protocol.

When the time came to retest I didnt want to spend the money for the GI Map without trying the gold standard antibiotic quad therapy for h pylori first, since triple therapy didn't work and the test is expensive $670, knowing it would need to be repeated for a 3rd time down the road.

I knew h pylori was still there, symptoms had not improved. I had started doing my own research on treatments and found that quad therapy is prescribed as first line of defense and has a high efficacy rate. He begrudgingly wrote me a prescription for TRIPLE therapy AGAIN, even though I asked for QUAD. Extrememly frustrating

By then I was done working with Jason, as he wasn't listening to my concerns anymore and nobody followed up with me after prescribing the WRONG antibiotics.

I guess it was easier to lose me as a patient than work with me on my recovery. The botox/cosmetic procedures are easier to accomodate in the practice than the sick who advocate for themselves 🙁

I wanted to write an honest review to help Jason understand my experience.

I understand that testing first is always best but I know my body and I knew I needed to try another treatment.

Perhaps I should have gone to a gastro who specalizes in h pylori rather a medspa. I REALLY wanted functional medicine to work for me and Jason seemed like he really cared about getting me better at first.

I learned my lesson here. I still whole heardtedly believe in holistic medicine and GI Maps are great for understanding the whole picture.
