I knew something was wrong from a very young age. I was broken and tried unsuccessfully to ‘fix it,’ but couldn’t. I began secretly attending therapy in my early 30s….talk therapy, Rorschach test, house-tree-person, group therapy, classes, mind exercises, clapping my hands and watching videos. My triggers? Smells, tone of voice, facial expression, songs, room noise….nothing changed.
In 2021 someone mentioned EMDR and how it had changed their life. I studied EMDR and other therapies for about one year before trying therapy….yet again?
I studied and made detailed notes on businesses and personnel who used EMDR. Neeley’s notes filled a page. Neeley Hughey up in Melbourne? It turned out to be the best 1 1/2 hour drive. Neeley’s background, skill level and passion to help others is incredible. The office decor is calming and inviting. Neeley is qualified and actually trains other therapists in EMDR. Neeley helped me rewrite my story. The chains and shadows are no more. My initial contact with the office was Evelyn, Neeley’s business office manager. She is so warm and caring. Evelyn taught me to use the ‘pause button.’ I am forever grateful! How do you repay someone for restoring what the locust had destroyed? I am now living and loving life. You will not find a better source for healing. Neeley is the best in her field. Take the risk. What have you got to lose? The chains holding you back? Begin to rewrite your story.

The reception team is so kind. The office manager, Evelyn, is so caring and thoughtful. My appointments are always scheduled ahead of time, so I never have to worry about booking for the future. The team makes sure to send out appointment reminders, and Evelyn always calls to wish me a happy birthday.

I have been a patient of Dr. Neeley's for over 3 years now and can say my life has transformed because of working with her. She is a board certified EMDR therapist and provides top tier trauma therapy and life coaching. Dr. Neeley sets her patients up for success in so many ways; from providing helpful insight, to suggesting tools to help with specific needs, to holding space for processing emotions.
Dr. Neeley facilitates personal growth by giving her patients homework, and also offers books or papers to read. If you have a question, she'll answer it, and if she doesn't know, she'll find out.

Last year I attended Miranda and Brenna's group therapy, "Anxiety During the Holidays." It was the first group therapy that I actively participated in, and I have been to many different groups before. The holidays can be stressful, and having this group to explore new helpful tools every week and work though our anxieties together was so helpful. Miranda and Brenna create a welcoming and warm environment. I still have my folder with the helpful papers and refer to it when I need extra help. Every week it was wonderful to learn about tools to help navigate the stress of the holiday season. Brenna and Miranda are both phenomenal therapists and I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to change their life.

Thursday I had my first experience with the vibroacoustic bed, and y’all, I feel it’s a game changer. Stress, anxiety, and chronic pain are my battles, and sleeping through the night is a goal I can’t seem to hit. With this week being project heavy at work, my anxiety and pressure to succeed was at an all time high when I arrived to my appointment. After my session, I felt weightless and momentarily pain free. I was in a zen state for sure, and I slept. through. the. night. It was the only night this week that I didn’t wake up to use the bathroom or because I heard the animals playing- my mind, eyes, and body were at rest until my alarm went off. Thank you so much Coastal Wellness! Looking forward to more sessions of true rest and healing in the VAT bed!!!

Ariel is really awesome. Non judgemental safe space. Release internal thoughts and only occasionally hear what you need to hear back. Therapy is really helpful. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. They do have a sliding scale option. But I do love the ability to talk to someone that can listen intently and has really great follow up responses that don't demand things but just put in the wisdom or question and answer you were looking for all along

My experience with the entire staff was exemplary. My clinical experience was nothing short of mind-blowing. The “issues” one deals with through talk therapy, for me, was incredibly helpful throughout the years. But it is the “issues” one sometimes can’t put into words or identify easily, based on my own experience. That can rob us of pure joy. I was fortunate to have a very uplifting experience and we worked on three major traumas I experienced in life. Before I knew it, I was lighter, happier and more at ease. A peace I’ve never known.
