This is the second time I've chosen to leave this particular group because of the office staff mainly. There are a couple of the front end that are very nice in person, but whomever they have taking calls needs help. There is one lady that picks up the phone and continues her convo with a coworker and then decides to say her greeting when she is done fussing. She will put you on hold right in the middle of you talking and leave you on hold. Several times I have waited on hold 20 to 30 mins just to get a rude staff member to even answer my initial call. I had this same lady on a different occasion tell me that I couldn't fast for labs until 3pm and I had to explain/educate her on what intermittent fasting is and then she was still combative and wanted to argue. I called to have a referral changed because I didn't want to use the group they chose and I specifically mention the specialist that I DID NOT want to see. Then I get an email from the nurse/MA advising me that my referral was changed to the Dr that I specifically said I didn't want to see and I explained why I didn't want to use this group. This phone rep also attempted to repeat to me the message she was forwarding about the referral and named a medication that I am not on nor did I mention and was not even close to the name to be accidentally misunderstood. She even repeated back to me that I didn't want to see the one Dr and repeated his name. So how my referral got changed to him just leaves me lost. Dr J. Shammaa is a really nice doctor though and I do like him overall, but this office staff and his new nurse are awful. The nurse/MA is also kinda rude and talks over you and I got really annoyed on my recent past visit when I could overhear her talking down to some elderly patients. I understand they are busy and probably have a stressful job, but I'm just not going to settle for this type of treatment and they genuinely don't give two toots if you are their patient or not, you just $$$ is how I felt.

I cant say enough about how great this whole office operates. I called for an appointment and got right in the next day. Dr. Jonathan Shammaa took his time with me, answered all my questions and gave me thoughtful answers that made sense. He did some blood work and I received the results and his recommendations the very next day. The office called to follow up and see if I had any concerns or questions. This is the best experience I have had with the Medical field in YEARS!! Thank you to the whole team and especially Dr. Shammaa.

I see Dr. Dukes and have always had great experiences. He’s very attentive and listens to your concerns while actively trying to find solutions. Not like most doctors who brush you off bc they’re the “professional.”

I’ve also had blood work done recently, and I must say, Ms. Brooke in the lab area is fantastic! Very personable and made me feel comfortable. She took her time to find my vein when I warned her that I was a trouble subject. She also answered all of my questions enthusiastically. She obviously loves what she does and does it well!

And last but not least, Andy at the front desk is incredibly helpful and is a great shining face to see in the morning! He was answering calls and still able to assist patients coming in and out. Very impressive management skills!

Overall a fantastic team!!

This office deserves 1 star but only giving 2 because I genuinely liked Dr. Erica Bortmas-Shammaa. Unfortunately they have terrible office management that ultimately made me decide to see a new doctor. On two occasions I needed to see a doctor fairly quickly for illness and an injury but the soonest they would get me in was several weeks out. You also are not allowed to see any other doctor within the group except your PCP so if they are out of the office then they tell you to visit the ER or an urgent care. I am now receiving a bill for a copay that was paid over 10 months ago with proof of receipt but they claim to have no record and require that I come into the office to work it out. Don’t waste your time here.

I was referred to this doctor. I will be finding another doctor as my experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I am listing my concerns with this doctor to help prevent another person going through this. The following are facts that happened and not opinions. The first visit they had incorrect information in my file. The nurse was listing medicines and tests I never took. I told her and she said she would take them off. This concerned me that they had the wrong file but was dismissed. The doctor came in and was very hard to understand as she had a strong accent. I did are best to understand her. She was very firm with me and didn't have good bedside manner in listening to my concerns and questions. She ordered blood work and I informed her all of the medicine I had taken or been on and asked her would that affect my results and was told no by her and asked the nurses and told no. Went through all the extensive bloodwork and was suppose to have results two days later it took me calling numerous times to get the results a week later for the doctor to tell me it was inclusive cause I had certain medicine in my system that i had already addressed to her. A month later and I am no closer to getting help than when I started in fact the last comment she made to me was that brain MRI was clear. I never had a brain MRI just bloodwork. Her files are messed up and she does not take the time or energy to review the files so how can you properly treat someone. I am finding a new doctor and will have to go through my files and straighten out the mess she has made of it. Please be wary of using this doctor.

Negative star, Automated system called to confirm appointment on a Saturday when office is closed for the weekend confirming appointment on Monday morning, could not access the options on the phone so when I
came in for my appointment it was canceled by the automated system.
Had test done at hospital and had a time getting approvals so everything was a total waste of time since they would not see me for the canceled open appointment slot. Going to other doctor somewhere elts

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I see a lot of different doctors and Dr. Dukes is one of the best. I recommend him and his team to anyone.
