I have been coming to Coastal for over 10years. They have helped my get my life on track & more importanly helped me stay on track.

Staff is always welcoming, lobby is always clean. Never had any issues or complaints here.

They listen to every detail of how im feeling and we come up with a plan together as to how best manage my lumbar & cervical pain. They are more than happy to give details on the latest and most current science of devices or procedures that could possibly help me. They have never push pain pills on me as if it was they only way to move forward.

Initially when looking for solutions, I had been to three other facilities (whos names I dont remember, but not part of the coastal umbrella) they really only seemed to want to push heavy narcotics on me. Even with me telling them that I refuse to take them, I would still be offered another rx.

Coastal has worked for me for over a decade. Coastal is where I will continue to go.

My first visit Dr. Greene, looked at my back. Had me stand up and turn around. That was it. Primary doctor had already scheduled me for 2 separate MRI’s for my lower back. Dr Greene then schedules an appointment for me to come back after MRI’s and bring my paperwork and disc from the MRI’s. Well that never happened. My second appointment had been changed from seeing Dr. Greene to seeing his PA-C Paul Duff. Not happy about not seeing the doctor I had my appointment with. Especially for a diagnosis. We went in sat down. He looks at my folder. Looks at my husband and me and tells me I need physical therapy and my back is messed up because of my diet. Needless to say that I looked at him like you’re crazy. I then ask him did he think that the results of my MRI’s that are in my purse might help him diagnose me properly. He looked a little taken back. I will not do anything he requested. Had he asked me any questions, I would have told him I had an appointment with my primary physician the day before I had this visit with Costal Spine and Pain. My primary the day before immediately referred me to a neurosurgeon when he saw my MRI results.
I went on to the appointment with costal spine the next day because I didn’t have time to give them a proper 24 hour cancellation notice. Glad I did! Finding out how incompetent they are. I will never set foot back in their establishment again. I have never been treated so badly by a heath care provider and seen a doctors office so inadequate. Doctor Greene and his PA must not communicate at all. It was very evident he knew nothing about me or what he was going to be discussing at this visit. Big disappointment!

My Mom is here now she's been sitting for two hours. The nurse at the front told her that she would be next but everyone that walked in went in before her. She asked the nurse again she said your appointment isn't until noon. My mom said no y'all scheduled me for 10a then the nurse said we needed you here at 10a so we could Prep you but my mom wasn't called until 12. The office that scheduled my mom's appointment should have informed her why she needed to be there at 10a there was no communication about her real-time to be at the clinic. I'm glad I took the whole day off because if I hadn't I would have had to call off and gotten a point because of this clinic's lack of communication. We drove an hour to get here y'all need to do better when it comes to older patients.

Do your own research on this location. I thought I did prior to our move to Florida. If you have an ongoing medical issue that causes a lot of pain and you want a spinal cord stimulator , this may be a good place for you. But if you are like me & have a spinal disorder & will not benefit from a spinal cord stimulator RUN!!!! From my 1st appt, I was extremely disappointed. But my Dr that I treated with for 4.5 years didn't send my lengthy medical records. My records Included 2 MRI's and reports, all injections, 2 surgeries, drug test results and all medications. I was told at 1st appt that "My drug test BETTER come back clean" because the Dr was putting his neck on the line for me by writing a prescription for opioids! I have NEVER been spoken to that way. It wasn't just what he said, but how he said it. Of course my drug test came back clean. The only thing showing in results were my PRESCRIPTION medications and a ton of IBUPROFEN. He did order a new MRI. Last one was in 2019. Then my 2nd appt I was to see someone else who is a PA. I was happy with that, untill I met him at next appt. He wanted me to see a surgeon because he wanted to recommend a spinal cord stimulator. I had 2 that both FAILED!! This PA never read my medical records that were received. So I had to pay to see a surgeon, waste my time and the surgeon's time with a senseless appt! The PA also prescribed a 2nd medication with the opioid that could have caused an overdose, My pharmacy advised me of this & asked if I had narcan. My husband was with me and was so upset. He asked me to find another Dr. I then looked up reviews on this location & I see a couple more reviews similar to what I've been through here. Bottom line on how this place made me feel : 1-that I was just seeking pain meds by the way Dr spoke to me 2-that I didn't matter. After receiving my records PA never read them. Never even read results of MRI this office ordered. Who does this I found a new Dr & then decided to get a 2nd opinion. BOTH are awesome !! Now I'm torn on which one to choose

Their staff and doctors, I would rate a 5.
However, their waiting times to see a Doctor or NP are not satisfactory.
I have been with them since their beginning and never had issues. The Past six months, your wait time is at least 30 minutes, after you get in the room.
They are severely understaffed and patients are waiting excess time.
Get more help please.

Rating on behalf of my family member’s experiences. He went for first visit almost a month ago. His PCP referred him here because his old pain Dr changed their policy that you also had to see them for PCP to be seen for their pain clinic and he likes his PCP and didn’t want to do that. He tested negative for pain meds. Duh! It took over a month to be seen the first time after his script ran out due to referral issues with insurance. They made it very obvious they don’t like to prescribe pills. He was fine with other alternatives. Was told he needed new imagining but didn’t even do basic imaging while there. Then told him he would have to come back in 3 weeks for anything. Fast forward to now and they are claiming his drug screen tested positive for marijuana and alcohol. Yes, he had some wind the night before his apt. Didn’t know that was illegal. But marijuana… he gets physically ill from marijuana and doesn’t smoke it. He does work around people who smoke it in the vapes but that is it. So he left work today, didn’t get called back for over an hour after his apt time to be told because of that and having alcohol, they wouldn’t prescribe him anything besides a muscle relaxer. The dr was also more interested in the med he takes for acid reflux. Like he isn’t there for acid reflux. They had him leave not doing any procedure aka alternative method for pain relief. He was told he could come back on the 30th and maybe they would do a procedure that time and handed him a pamphlet for some stimulator thing that he’s not interested in. And a side note- he had apt with his PCP last week who is connected to this pain clinic and she is the one who told him he was supposedly positive for the marijuana. But she also told him it was in the notes that the dr here was going to prescribe him his pain medication in the interim to other alternatives and yet the dr did not. I don’t know what they are trying to do but they basically let him withdraw from his meds and have yet to do anything to help him with his chronic pain.

Dr. Greene and others at Coastal Spine and Pain have helped me, for more than 10 years, effectively manage what is a chronically painful cervical spine condition. I am grateful for the helpful, friendly staff at every visit and the expert care I've received at CS&P over the years.
