Let me preface; I am not a fan of going to the doctor. I threw my back out four days ago and have been in pain far too long. Last thing I wanted to do is go sit in a doctors office. Today’s visit to has changed my point of view of “doctors visits”. Cleburne Medical Clinic is my primary care facility as of today.
This clinic was wonderful! I was met with a smiling face and a person actually concerned for my ailment. The office was very clean, relaxed atmosphere, no TV (! Love that!) and had great art on the walls.
The entire staff was proficient, kind and personable. The doctor, Dr. Melissa Coefield was amazing! She sat and listened, asked questions while she looked me in the eyes — not typing on the computer— communicated with me and explained each step of my treatment. I felt knowledgeable about my care and meds that were prescribed and knew what each shot was and how it would help my pain. I felt I was sitting chatting with a friend that actually cared. Dr. Missy was personable and quiet funny — she had me laughing. Yes, I am talking about a doctor visit!
My past experiences, up until now, have been miserable wait times, “germ filled “ waiting areas with blasting “breaking news”, being shifted from room to room, no eye contact just nurses typing and then doctors reading what the nurse has typed. Insurance headaches, go down the hall to the laboratory and wait again etc... never again!
This clinic in Heflin, Cleburne Medical clinic, is awesome and it is where I will go should I have a need in the future. I highly recommend you all do the same. If I were selfish I would keep it a secret but healthcare is such a headache these days that it is nice to be met with smiling faces that are capable of mercy and empathy when you are feeling bad.
Thank you for taking good care of me ?.
