I can't say enough good things about Dr Romero in this brief review. From the time the VA finally approved my referral to him (outside the VA system) the care I received was exceptional. The entire staff was friendly and professional and provided excellent service. Based on my research on the internet, I was expecting a long recovery time after the TURP surgery. As it turned out, I took two weeks of rest and minimal activity, then two weeks of light activity. I resumed normal activities after a month and felt like I was 20 years younger! It was great getting control back in my life, sleeping better, and able to enjoy a round of golf without the urge to 'go' every 3 or 4 holes. I would not hesitate to reccomend Dr Romero to anyone having prostate issues.

Dr. Romero was very attentive on the situation and answered some of my questions, but I have many more, I would definitely refer him to other people because he actually took out the time to explain things to me and not too many doctors take the time to do that and they say in their notes that they have done it and they haven’t and that really irritates me. Also, I’ve had other doctors state things that I didn’t even say and I think doctors should start communicating more between the other physicians that the patient is seeing so they can get a better picture of everything but he seemed very well-maintained and I really appreciated that…
