From the building’s aesthetics, both inside and out, to the support staff, parking, and my overall experience with my doctor and dedicated nurse, I was thoroughly impressed. I am so grateful to have a new VA clinic like this one! Keep in mind that they are a clinic and not a hospital so there is no Emergency Room or Urgent Care. And because they are a clinic, they don’t have as many capabilities, so you may be referred to additional locations for various testing or treatment, but that is how a clinic work, unless your in a hospital. If you have a lot of ailments or know you will need specialty care only offered in the hospitals, I recommend you finding a primary care physician at the VA in La Jolla.

Rudest location ever been to. Called about getting my ID card updated and was told I didn't need an appointment.
Went in today and the asked the main receptionist about getting my ID updated. First thing out of his mouth was, "Read the sign", it's only Wednesday and Friday! This is the second time being treated rudely at this location. Will not be going here a third time!!!

The lab actually closes as 3:30 not 4. But be there before that because if it’s 3:30 on the dot they will not help you, or check you in. They will just put a closed sign in your face while you try to use the kiosk at 3:29. they will only tell you to come back tomorrow.

This VA outpatient clinic is very convenient and very well organized. Because back in 2018, the location was a lot further. The bus stop 709 is not far from this clinic. The staff were very professional and helpful. The wait time was only 15 minutes and the podiatrist was very professional and very knowledgeable. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes . I would not mind coming back to this clinic again.

I tried 5 times (3 phone calls and 2 in-person visits to the counter) to make an appointment to establish primary care without any help. I’m already in the system and just moved from central California to the Chula Vista area. They gave me the run around each time and told me the one person who deals with new people isn’t here today (multiple times). Completely ridiculous. Sorry to all the vets and other people experiencing the same treatment.

Went to get my blood drawn for upcoming appointment. Walk in. Only one person ahead of me. My pplopotomist was awesome. I hate getting stuck but I didn’t even feel this one. She found a vein I couldn’t even see. Most happy with my experience.

My primary care is here and I like my doctor. I have had some medical issues over the past five years and used phlebotomy often. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I feel well-cared for here and am very fortunate to
have access to the VA Healthcare System.

Having Charmane or Elsa do your blood draw is nothing less than a painless and pleasant experience. These 2 ladies are very professional and make the experience very gratifying. Thank you ladies ❤️🙏🏽
