Never in my life have I ever encountered worse office staff than the staff at Chilton Family Medicine. They are always extremely rude, and have no phone etiquette. Kim put me on hold and the operator came because the call was disconnected. She then blamed it on me saying I must have hung up, because hold doesn't disconnect the call. They transfer you without asking you to hold or letting you finish a sentence. During a routine credit check, I found out I was in collections from a visit in 2014. Upon calling the collection agency, I learned it was from them. I called to see why I had a balance. She said it was from them not filing through my insurance. When I went to that visit I gave the girl at the front my insurance contract number, but did not have my card on hand. Well, she must not have written it down because they didn't have it. Timely filing with insurance is 365 days. So, it's too late for them to file with insurance. Kim, the billing representative, said she called me in May 2014 and I said I would bring my card in at my next visit. I never went back to them, BUT I GAVE THEM MY CONTRACT NUMBER. I never received any statement because they entered my address city wrong. I was never informed I even had a balance, so there was no way for me to correct it during timely filing. So I'm responsible for their irresponsible rude office staff. Do yourself a favor and NEVER go to Chilton Family Medicine. The doctors are great, but it is not worth dealing with their horrendous staff.
