My mom stayed at Chatsworth Park for six months until she sadly passed away last week. Though ultimately a sad ending, I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. My mom was a complicated patient with extremely serious and rare medical issues. Chatsworth Park handled her case thoroughly and professionally, and I always felt at ease with my mom under their care. The nurses, CNAs and PT/OT/speech staff were all fantastic and showed my mom nothing but kindness, respect and even humor at times. Most importantly, they gave my mom dignity and love in her final moments. I am forever grateful and feel immensely lucky that my mom was under such wonderful care for her final months. I can’t say thank you enough.

If you have a parent who needs help with rehabilitation, this is the best place to have them in! All the staff is very compasionate and caring. They treat their patients as if they were their own family. I had my mom in here for two years, and she felt at home. Best service and best staff! Highly recommend!

I was a patient there in December of 2024. I had a broken femur. I would not recommend going here. I arrived on a Friday. Unable to walk, placed in a bed , and basically dependent on the staff. I was not accessed by a doctor for 3 days. So sadly I laid there.My medication trickled in but not until the following Monday did I receive all the medication I required. To make a very long story short…. I was refused help to get to the restroom and told to use my diaper because my CNA was on her break. This after waiting an hour . Monday to Thursday it’s a different atmosphere. Friday to Sunday it’s a living hell. The final straw.. a night nurse brought in medication and one of the pills was not mine!!! I questioned it and he reviewed my medication and he said I quote : I’m so sorry that’s another patient’s medication ! He then quickly took it from me . At that point I
decided I would not stay there any longer. My son arrived in the morning and I made them discharge me. I did not leave AMA!!! I left in fear for my life!!! Possibly being given another patient’s medication I could have died in there. I am also following up with the Health Department to investigate this facility

My mom had to come to Chatsworth Park after two back surgery's. Nurse Susan after only a few days noticed my mom was different and had to call 911. My mom went to the hospital and they found out she had gone sepsis. I dread to think of what would have happened if Susan didn't call. My mom got excellent care from the staff. She has been in a few different nursing facility's to recover from surgery and by far, hands down this is the BEST one. Aileen the Director was very approachable and always made time for me. The Physical therapist Jeffrey and Abner were amazing and had my mom back up and walking. When I walked in to visit, Oscar was at the front desk always smiling and very helpful. Daniel in housekeeping always keeping my moms room clean, Jennifer the activities director was super helpful, Genevieve, Lloyd, Patrick, and Marie who was always so kind to my mom. I thank ALL of you for helping us through a very emotional and stressful time. If she ever needs a nursing/rehab facility I will for sure choose Chatsworth Park.

Let me start by saying I never write reviews, but this place deserves one. I moved to South Carolina, but flew out here 5 times this year prior to being out here now as I write this.

When I was at this facility on December 3rd, there was an old woman outside on a wheel chair smoking a cigarette. She was sitting there as we got there and when we left. When we left she made 1 comment about this place to warn us: "If you have family here, don't let them stay. They don't care and it is like a jail cell." (unfortunately this is the truth)

It is old in the inside, old wall paper, lots of chipped paint, and etc. they didn't even care to ask my dad about his food allergies before they brought him a sandwich he could barely eat.

To back it up a bit, my father had to have an emergency surgery to remove cancer from his lower back, he was then sent to an acute physical therapy facility. Unfortunately, he got Covid and this place was the only location that could take him.

My last conversation with my Dad was while he was at this disgusting and careless facility, he was screaming for help saying "I need help!!! Doctor? Nurse? My body is on fire and burning, I need help!" No one was coming to help - they either (1) didn't believe him or (2) didn't care.

When I would call and ask to speak to my Dad, (at this point he couldn't answer his cell phone because he was in such terrible pain), it would take at least 45 minutes to be transferred to him.

There was nothing I could do. I was there with him on 12/2 (the day he was transferred here) and planned to come out again the 23rd.

Next thing I know I received a call from a "nurse" at this facility on the 15th saying he is being rushed to the ER. This woman was speaking in panic when she called me, and did not have proper manner when speaking with me as I am my dads daughter. She gave me a better reason as to how terrible this place is due to her tone of voice.

This woman explained my Dad was sent to the emergency room due to chest pain. 1 night later, my Dad was in the ICU. I rushed to make a flight out here that night. When I arrived, I couldn't even hear his voice anymore.

My father passed away 3 days later.

My dad is the most amazing man I've ever had in my life - and this facility did not take 1 action to better help him like they said they would. They don't care, and now my assumption is they only work here for the money (shows why they don't take care of the place). There isn't even a word to explain how miserable my dad was here.

I received a call yesterday from a woman here asking, "hey just checking in to see how your dad is doing." THEY CALLED 911 FOR HIM 12/15 & you're calling me asking how he is 8 days later!?!?! Come on

DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES IN TO THIS FACILITY - insured or not - DON'T!

I was here this time last year for four or five weeks. And here I am again, one year later.

The majority of caregivers here are phenomenal. Everyone that has a position here is welcoming, and willing to answer any questions.

Although it’s not terribly often, it can be difficult when there is a shortage of nurses or CNA’s, which can cause a delay in getting medication. To me, as much as I hurt, it’s a small price to pay when you have such lovely people taking care of you. Hopefully they can find a way to make that a hardly ever situation.
I think it’s helpful if the patient has a good attitude. It definitely is a plus for the nurses and CNA’s to come to a happy room..
