Maybe the style of therapy provided is suitable for some people but it did not work for me. The therapist I met with did not provide me any specific positive feedback for the duration of the session. The closest I got was a comment of "I was going to say that".

Additionally, the therapist was not culturally responsive and I felt their questions regarding language barriers were very indicative of their lack of attention to my situation and their uninformed dealings with any group of culturally diverse persons.

Considering this was the first session, I was very taken aback at the comments the therapist made regarding my relationships with others such as 'I'm probably nicer to my friends than my husband'.

Overall, I did not expect to have an incredibly productive first session, but I definitely did not expect to have such little direction and immediate assumptions exerted upon me.

Any time I go to Center For Change I feel completely comfortable sharing my entire self. At the end of every session I feel more equipped to handle any of my problems, situations, or concerns. I feel more impowered and incontrol of my life and my surroundings because of the tools I have given during each session. Center For Change has helped me change my outlook on life for the better More times than I can count! I am truly grateful I found this incredible place with such kind, understanding, and trustful staff.
