I had an appointment at 10:40am. I arrived at 10:20am as instructed and had even e-checked in prior to my appointment. Yet I was never seen by any doctor. It was supposed to be my annual physical exam. No one gave me an explanation as to why except that the doctor was "running late". I was not offered any alternatives nor given a time frame of how much more I would need to wait. I was left alone in patient room #3 (4th floor) for about 20 minutes. I had to step out into the hallway for the assistant to tell me Dr. Gilmore was "still running late with another patient". I wasted time, gas, and effort getting to this appointment and was met with one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any primary care physician's office. Cedar Sinai has definitely declined in overall customer care and service over the last few years. Worse of all, on My CS link app, they're trying to make it seem as if I completed my annual physical exam (which I didn't). I'm sure this is for monetary purposes. Regardless, this is unfair and deceitful as I was never seen by any doctor. I had no blood work done. The entire interaction was unfair and Cedar Sinai seems completely unapologetic about it. Not cool at all! On top of all of this, I had to ask for the manager to get my parking ticket validated as I wasn't going to pay $11 for wasting a day of work, gas, my energy, and time. They almost didn't want to do that. Overall experience was inconveniently horrible and Cedar Sinai was totally unhelpful.

I am pleased my primary doctor referred me to Dr. Snow. She kept me informed about my diagnosis, more portent she was kind and compassionate, insuring I was okay leaving the office. The staff from front office to x-ray tech to nurses were all friendly and professional. I could not be more pleased with my visit and care

To the African American Community of Los Angeles and surrounding areas, be advised that the Kerlan-Jobe office in Marina Del Rey does not respect or appreciate you as a patient. The office of Dr. Andrea Louise Snow on Lincoln Blvd. refused to see me as a patient and preferred seeing a white patient over me. When I complained to Angela (the front desk employee) that I did not appreciate her ignoring me to check in for my appointment; and instead taking a white woman (who did not have an appointment) over me as I waited in the front desk area to check in, she told me "none of my doctor's will see you with your attitude." She went to the back office and said this to Dr. Andrea Snow (who I had an appointment with). Dr. Snow sent another staff member to tell me that she would not see me based on my attitude. I left the office in severe pain and barely able to walk. This office has a culture of discriminating against; and treating African Americans with disrespect and hostility. You will not be guaranteed to be seen by Dr. Snow or treated by her if you are an African American. You will leave her office without being treated when you speak up for your rights as a patient. Do not go to this place!!!!

Office staff seem competent and friendly. My doctor is terrific! I had been one of his patients well before he joined Kerlan-Jobe. My biggest problem was trying to locate him after he left his previous practice. Caring, friendly and understanding. All the qualities you want that are so rarely seen in today's medical care. The waiting time wasn't an issue because my appointment was so early in the day, but I wouldn't have cared if I'd had to wait, he's THAT good! Not terribly thrilled with the hospitals where he has privileges.

UPDATE:
Less than three weeks after my appointment, I received a letter notifying me that my doctor would no longer be associated with Kerlan-Jobe. Apparently, he pulled up stakes and moved out of state. "Dear Patient, I will be leaving this practice as of..." (He left three days later)"Dr. So & So will still be able to see and care for you and your needs...Sincerely".

While I'm sure there are many fine doctors associated with this practice, I will no longer be one of their patients. I'm very particular about the medical practioners I see and had a previous relationship with this ortho-surgeon. In essence, I "followed" him to this group. My opinion of the facility remains unchanged.
