DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR HEALTH AND TIME GOING HERE!
Let me start by saying...I love Michelle! She is great! A lot of my family and I have been going to her for years. I've always said I like Michelle but I can't stand the front office ladies. They are rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, it's only gotten worse. They are all about the $$$ not the patient care.
They say things like "if you're here for a physical you can't tell her anything is wrong or you have to pay the copay." or "you can only be seen for one issue" WTH?!
A while back I made an appointment for my husband. He was 20 min early, filled out the paperwork promptly and waited over an hour. When he went up to the counter to ask why it was taking so long, he could tell they forgot about him. When he became upset, they tried to blame him. Saying he was sitting out of site and why did he wait so long to come and ask! No accountability at all. Being in such disbelief over the response my husband walked out.
I tried again because remember, I really like Michelle.
I recently made an appointment for my daughter for a physical.
What a disaster that was!!!
When the office confirmed she mentioned to them she needed it for school. When she arrived, she told them the same thing and told the MA she needed a form filled out. At no point did they tell her she would have to pay $20 for a form SHE brought in to be filled out. They had SEVERAL opportunities to mention it at the visit or even during the several calls she made to them afterward. But they didn't until she went back to pick it up. She drove 30 miles but had no way of paying and left.
When I called to ask why was she not made aware of this prior. The response was typical of what this practice has become.
I was told that's the policy that's in the forms you sign and initial. Which I get but WHY NOT LET US KNOW BEFOREHAND! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK
So basically "oh well" again NO ACCOUNTABILITY!
I was still clearly upset so I was placed on hold for a long time and transferred to Dario the so-called "administrator" or manager according the other reviews. What a joke! He is the entitled son of Dr. Castellanos "the owner" A rude, condescending, smug prick for lack of a better word. He blamed me and my daughter and even laughed when telling me basically it's not his problem. Letting it be known that they don't fill forms out for free because time is $$$ But was willing to waste time to try and prove me wrong by going back to check the phone call logs because according to him I have to mention the form when making the appointment. At the end he still ended up faxing the form to me after trying to prove a point. Pathetic!
I've been a dental practice manager at the same office for 30 years and would NEVER allow such rude behavior from my team.
This treatment eventually will catch up to them and will end the practice under the care of Dario Castellanos!
I'm sure he will respond to this review the way he does all others. By placing the blame on the patient. What a disgrace!
Needless to say after years of being patients, we will no longer be returning.

Uninformed and misinformed receptionist and the manager is arrogant. Looks like these people have a tendency to fight back negative reviews, which tells me these people are not matured enough to take criticisms. The conversation with the manager was a reflection of the same. The manager calls me and tells me I am a loser, and then mocks my accent. The manager is sick and needs help, and this will be escalated to the appropriate authority.

Fantastic place! I have been going here for over 10 years, and would never dream of going anywhere else. Dr. Castellanos and his team are the best. They really make you feel at home, and they’re on top of their game. I walk in with an ailment, and walk out with answers and solutions. Very knowledgeable team! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for awesome doctors and staff!

I came here to get my USCIS health exam done. The staff I spoke on the phone with was very prepared and helpful. They checked my medical records from back home and scheduled any other exam that I might need for my process and I got my results back in just a few days. the doctor and nurse that work with me were super kind and professional.

My experience at Castellanos Family Practice was amazing. The staff was helpful in arranging an appointment for me. They were friendly and I was able to schedule an appointment soon. The wait time to speak with the doctor was short. The doctor was very professional, he took the time to answer my questions and was very thorough about my medical needs. I was extremely satisfied with the doctor's care. My family and I will definitely keep coming here.

I came here for an Immigration Physical Exam. The physical part was done quite quick. But they told me I would need to pick up paper work two days later, I went to pick up my paper which only needed a signature and I would be gone. But I spend over hour there which is ridiculous to me. If you gave me an appointment at 3:30. I arrived at 3:20 to pick the paperwork why am I waiting for over an hour.

I have been a patient at Dr.Castellanos for over 15 years.The office staff is always very friendly and I am always able to get an appointment when needed.
My kids all have transferred as adults from their pediatrician to Dr.Castellanos now that they are adults.The physicians assistants have been great walking them through the importance of healthy eating etc.My daughter loves her PA and feels very comfortable talking to her.
It is nice to still have a doctor's office who knows you and treats you like a person rather than a number.

First off I want to start by saying I have never had an issue with any of the receptionist's neither the nurse practitioner. I will never refer this practice to anyone! I had a very bad experience with "Daren" I believe that is his name he did not want to give me his full name nor his title! Before I chose Castellano office I called and specifically asked if they drew blood there because I did not want to take my father in law to draw blood at a different location the receptionist stated yes they draw blood there they charge $30 I said ok great let's set Everything up. The first time they drew his blood was fine no issues the second time no one could draw his blood as he was dehydrated. I took him back for the third round they drew his blood with no issue. So I called this week to set up a date and time to draw blood per Dr request and the receptionist tells me I can pick up the order and take him to get his blood drawn through Quest. I said why I get his blood drawn there! She kept going back and forth with me she didn't know how to answer all my questions. She transferred me to Daren he told me that it was a hassle to draw blood from my 80 year old father inlaw so they would like me to go to quest I said well if that was the case receptionist should of never told me they draw blood for $30. Then he tells me we have to charge you $100 if you want us to draw his blood here! He had a horrible attitude! I said this is ridiculous however he tells me that $30 is way to cheap for the staff that they had to use to try to draw blood for my father inlaw and that they did us a huge favor? In my mind I'm thinking ok so you're charging me more because he was dehydrated that one time ok. Plus you're doing me a favor? Clearly Daren has no care nor compassion for anyone he's just there for a paycheck when you chose to work in the healthcare field to supposedly help people and care for them. There is so much more to this conversation however he told me he would disconnect the call and before he did he wished me best of luck. So I called back and asked the receptionist for his name she transferred me he stated hi Daren speaking when I asked him for his name he realized it was me he told me he did not need to give me that information and if I kept calling I would no longer be allowed to be seen there wow I told him I will file a complaint he said go ahead and wished me best of luck then disconnected the call. He was not professional he was not helpful I would never want ANYONES family's care to be in the hands of this guys I would never refer anyone to Castellanos practice. I am filing a complaint with Medical Board of California against the practice.
