Casa Capri was a phenomenal experience. I had amazing technicians, nutritionist, case managers, therapist and facilitators. The original owner leads classes still because she is so invested in the well-being of the women working this program. It is an atmosphere of really lifting each other up. 10/10!!

As a resident at Casa Capri, I experienced firsthand the unprofessionalism of the Director of Operations. Her conduct, coupled with the poor cleanliness of the provided accommodations, immediately undermined the credibility of Casa Capri.

My first night there, we experienced a plumbing incident (where sewage had come up through the toilets and showers) left my roommates with 3 days of having to run to the house next door to use the bathroom. Due to the apparent lack of urgency from the Director, we took the initiative of having to clean up the sewage OURSELVES.

Moreover, following a single instance of skipping breakfast, a rash decision was made to relocate me to the "nutritional house" (often referred to as the "eating disorder house") late at night, exposing me to unclean conditions (photos provided), revealing the Director's indifference to residents' well-being. When I expressed discomfort with the room's cleanliness and requested a bed without the previous occupant's linens, I was met with mockery from Amanda, who dismissed my concerns as having "insanely high standards."

Despite my insistence that I didn't belong in the eating disorder house, they insisted I stay. Upon regaining access to my phone the next day, I immediately contacted my mom to share my concerns. In response, the very next day, my phone privileges were removed, falsely claiming I was being emotionally disruptive to the other clients and that I would not be allowed to speak with my mom until Monday (and under strict supervision). This left me feeling isolated and unheard, prompting me to walk out to leave temporarily, only to return to worried housemates.

To compound my distress, the Director falsely accused me on that Sunday of trying to convince other girls to leave with me. This unfounded accusation escalated to the extent that the RAs were instructed to pack up all my belongings (once again without any prior warnings). I was then threatened to be kicked “off property” without access to my cellphone or wallet, with instructions to retrieve them the following business day at 10 am. These actions, including the attempt to isolate me from communication with my mother, were unacceptable for any rehabilitation facility.

This eventually escalated to the involvement of my mom in a phone call, where I was accused by Ananda of potentially being on an undetectable drug, further underscoring the inappropriate and unprofessional conduct of the Director of Operations at Casa Capri. These incidents not only added to my trauma but also showcased a complete lack of empathy and understanding on the Director's part.

Moreover, the facility's issue of being short-staffed placed an additional burden on the nurses and affected the quality of care. Another resident and I overheard a nurse on a phone call expressing genuine concern for the well-being of clients, stemming from an alarming incident where the Director of Operations reportedly screamed at a new girl in detox, threatening to kick her out on the street over a minor disagreement. The fact that a nurse felt compelled to express concern over such behavior reflects the distressing impact on the staff's morale and, ultimately, the well-being of the residents.

This disturbing incident further eroded the credibility of Casa Capri, jeopardizing the mental and emotional safety of those seeking help and recovery. Unfortunately, the actions and attitude of the Director of Operations at Casa Capri fell short of any expectations, significantly impacting my overall experience and that of other residents seeking help and recovery.

I truly believe that if it weren't for the INCREDIBLE nurses who made me feel cared for, I have no idea how I would have been able to last there as long as I did.

SIDE NOTE While I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience. Having gone through the daunting process of seeking a rehab facility that fosters healing and genuine recovery, I believe it's essential to highlight my experience to benefit others seeking similar support.

I would highly recommend any woman seeking recovery to attend Casa Capri for any length of time. I did the 30 days and was very impressed. The place is beautiful and the staff is amazing. We do weekend outings, and the classes and groups are enlightening

Casa Capri is a phenomenal residential treatment center. All of the staff and clinical team was caring and attentive to all of my recovery needs and provided personalized support. Group therapy was led by credible and knowledgeable staff, and greatly aided in the recovery process by creating an atmosphere where I could be vulnerable and honest. The other women here in treatment fostered an environment where everyone could share without judgement, and unite in the common goal and desire of sobriety. I would recommend Casa Capri to all women in search of recovery, and willing to put in the work for a life of sobriety.

I will forever be grateful for the time I spent at Casa Capri! The staff were extremely supportive in my healing journey. Prior to Casa, my addiction had compounded my depression and I was rendered catatonic. I was unable to experience joy, hope, peace, and self-love, but now that is all that I am experiencing. The clinical team, counselors, and techs all played a pivotal role in my healing and my desire for sobriety. It is not an easy road to travel, but with the help of the Casa team and my peers, I found success in fighting my addiction and hope for a better life 🙂

When i first came to Casa Capri I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I didn’t have much hope for myself, my future, and my recovery. Thanks to the help of a good friend I found myself here. I was placed in Grace, the eating disorder recovery house. I’ve never had any intention to work on my eating disorder and also never thought it possible to be helped in that area. Through the support of the techs, dietitians, case worker, and therapists I’ve found a healthy way to interact with food and my view on my body. My outlook on the future and my ability to grow and succeed has changed. This place is a great steppingstone for the rest of your life.

I didn’t come here to find myself nor did I think I had any real problem with addiction. Immediately I was taken under this umbrella of love, compassion, protection and understanding. What I experienced in the days following was nothing short of a miracle and complete makeover of self. Every group and every single staff member allowed me to grow and be heard (something I felt I lacked before coming to Casa Capri) and as a result, and with help I was able to identify the deep, deep issues that made me act a certain way, acknowledge the behavior, see the reasons why, taught healthier ways to walk through them and be ok with self. Hands down, I have never experienced such a spiritual, emotional, physical and mental transformation in my life. Casa Capri has done the all the necessary work, I didn’t have to worry about anything while I was here and as a result, I experienced earthshaking, body mind and soul cleansing. I will leave here a changed woman and will never forget the staff and especially Melissa,Samantha and Becca .I have been given an unexpected gift that has changed my life forever.
