Dr. Huner has been my doctor (and my husbands) for YEARS!! We love her! Any visit with her feels like I'm talking to a family member. So personable and caring. Her nurse Andrea is so upbeat and kind. Even my quick checkout with Ivy was a positive experience. I've never had a bad visit.

I appreciate her thoroughness, attention to detail, and most of all her kindness. She is easy to talk to and frankly a fun person to be around—physicians like her are hard to come by. Everyone in the office, from front desk to nurses to lab technicians, are sweet and helpful. I moved 45 minutes outside of the area and will gladly make the drive to see her.

My previous primary care physician, who I still have a very high regard for, took a position which made it impossible for me to continue with her. I was told a number of very positive things about Dr. Huner, which all turned out to be true.

Dr.Huner herself seemed to be a great doctor my first visit . She was very thorough and had amazing bedside manners . However ,I called about pain in my neck and shoulder and told her that since I wasn't able to get into her office because she was booked, I went to Urgent care . They said I had pulled or strained a muscle and gave me antiinflammatory meds and steroids .. pain still exists days after so I did telehealth...mind you this was all because I could not get in to see my PCP.. still in grave pain and I don't take pills at all.. they gave a different kind of muscle relaxer and stated they could not prescribe pain relief but my PCP could..I had been in pain almost 2 weeks at this point and no over the counter meds was working ...finally got a virtual with Dr. Huner while in tears , no sleep at this point .. and she said oh yes.. come get a shot and it should work, double up on muscle relaxers at night .. ok, if that helps with the excruciating pain I'm in.. went immediately and got that shot ...that night I was still in pain and no relief ..calls the next day and her nurse had no sympathy at all, was very short and seemed not to care at all that I was in so much pain..she suggested I go to ER or an orthopedic to get a workup! Now this is my PCP office ..it's Friday and now I'm going to have to go through the weekend again without any real relief .. the nurse also said we called in a referral for PT or and Ortho.. she then said you can call them yourself and see if they can take you but we have done all we can. Dr. Huner will not prescribe you any pain medication.. that was it . I had to call other nurse friends to see what I could do .. they told me about a walk in orthopedic that could help with whatever was going on. this was after I called he number given to me by Dr. Hunters nurse to call myself . they said they had nothing but earliest was the next week on a wednesday. I would have died from the pain of I waited to be seen then..Thank God for the walk in orthopedic because they did X-rays and found out it was a pinched nerve which is why I was in so much pain .. made sure they gave me something to get me through the weekend without hurting and even followed up with PT to make sure I could get in on Monday. I finally had some relief and sleep for my mental . Noone from my PCP office ever called back to see how I was doing .. that made me view things different..even if she does not believe in pain meds. Each case should be reviewed differently and looking in my chart they would see I don't ever have to take pain meds but this time was different. The nurse did not show concern as to what my pain level was either .. very disappointed in how I was treated. I felt hopeless..maybe it's because I'm new and have only seen her once but my next visit due to her would be now , however the office staff was very understanding and listened whenever I called multiple times . Overall Dr. Huner seems to be a great doctor.. maybe they have a lot of patients so having that access to her seems almost impossible. Her nurse should offer more empathy when her sick patients call for their doctor. otherwise I can't wait to talk to her myself in person.
