This was my second visit to Carbon Health. Both were excellent. This time I saw Dr Ata at the SF Civic Center location. Her examination was thorough, and she prescribed an antibiotic that completely resolved my symptoms. I appreciate that I was able to get an appointment quickly, and that the office was efficient, uncrowded and running on time. All together a very positive experience.

This clinic is phenomenal. The team is cheerful and the clinic is so clean. It’s a great plan to quickly get minor things taken care of. So convenient.

I have been visiting this clinic for several years and my primary care physician, Dr. Ata, whom I see there, is excellent. Patients are treated with kindness and respect. The facilities are clean and seem well-maintained. My only reservations on a higher ranking relate to billing issues earlier this year. The office manager was very helpful and most of those problems were resolved. If you need care, don't hesitate to come here.

Today I went into Carbon Health at Market and Castro to get an xray of my chest and the lovely clinician who was at the Clinic where I live was the xray tech at this one. She is just great, very sensitive, kind, and clearly knows what she's doing. Again, this office also had great high quality personnel and I was in and out quickly.

Absolutely, I will share my experience. I only live across the street from this office so the convenience is spectacular. I just moved into NEMA from New Jersey after being away from SF for the last 25 yrs. The receptionists were kind and friendly. The medical staff were very thorough and listened carefully to me.
As you can see, I was more than satisfied with the customer service and medical care I received at this Carbon health office.
I plan to return for primary Care.
As a retired hospital administrator of 30 yrs in both SF and NY, I can honestly say that your organization is an impressive medical service to have available to San Franciscans across the City.

I went to Urgent Care today for pain in my chest area and the staff are so caring and concerned. I don't know when I've experienced such a profoundly compassionate group of health care workers! From the receptionist to the doctors and nurse practitioners, they are thoughtful, detail oriented, and really cover any and all areas of possible concern.
My only problem is that I can't seem to get my Mounjaro rx approved and over to the Walgreens across the street. If that could be resolved, I would have absolutely no concerns whatsoever!!!

While traveling for business I hurt my finger. I stopped in to have it checked out. The experience was great, checked in was seen by the doctor quickly. She was very personable and warm, whole process took under an hour.

I’ve been with Kaiser Health Insurance since I graduated from college in San Francisco 35 years ago. My youngest son recently got accepted to his dream college in New Haven, Connecticut. Kaiser is not available in Connecticut and it forced me to change health insurance provider so that my son and I can both have healthcare in California and Connecticut. I was anxious to make the change, but after the switch to UHC (for my son, it’s the New Haven Hospital as his primary care provider and for me, Carbon Heath in San Francisco), I am very pleased and happy with the change! It’s my first time using Carbon Health and I really like my primary care Dr Alishba Ata and her team! Very friendly, compassionate and focused on health and prevention. I also like that her team was able to take my blood on the same appointment and same room (very convenient w/o me needing to go to another bldg) vs with Kaiser. My appointments and records are all in the Carbon Health app and the location 1390 Market St is a short walk from the Van Ness muni subway station. Perfect for me! Happy Healthy Life!

Been there a few times and every time it was bad. One time I came to my appointment on time but had to wait 50min. And when the physician is ready to see me, he turned out to the person sitting at a desk in the common area in front of his laptop for the past 50min. There was no explanation for why he was so late and why he couldn’t see me when he was just doing things on his laptop. The appointment itself was also bad, only went for 10min, and did not address my questions at all. They charged me full amount for “urgent care”. I called to dispute the charge given the bad and inadequate experience, they completely dismissed me and still charged me full amount

If you can, I would advise another provider. Kaiser is great, I've heard good things about Sutter Health.

Do not use Carbon Health.

Some notable issues below:

1. Scheduling takes forever
The closest appointment for an Annual Physical was one month away. When I went to other providers, they were able to give same/next day service.

2. They refuse to provide billing estimates/approximations
For a followup appointment to my Annual Physical (discussion on normal bloodwork results), they refused to provide a billing code. My insurance required this info to tell me what the coverage for billing would be.

I even gave specifics on what the appointment would entail, and they didn't even provide a range of what the billing code would be.

3. Front desk seems overloaded

Before the service, I reached out to the front desk (they are also nurses, I believe). They seemed overloaded, and could only respond to my messages on the app periodically.

I then asked if the followup would cost nothing, or be fully covered. The front desk didn't clarify this and stated this was correct.

I was very surprised to be billed after the appointment in the hundreds.
