I recently visited Carbon Health for a simple earwax issue. Scheduling the appointment was easy, and check-in was smooth — I waited about 5–10 minutes before being called in. Initially, a nurse (I believe) assisted me, asked questions about my ear health, and had me fill out information on an iPad. She left for about 10–15 minutes, only returning because she misplaced her iPad.

Then an NP examined my ear and confirmed that I had a wax buildup. The nurse returned, applied eardrops, and said we’d wait five minutes before flushing it out. When she began irrigating the ear, it was painful, and although some wax came out, she was frustrated that no large pieces were dislodged. She repeated the process with more drops and another flush, but still didn’t get much out. Eventually, a PA came in, looked in my ear, gasped audibly, and said it looked like a “science experiment”, which caught me off guard. She diagnosed an ear infection, although I had no pain or other symptoms.

She ran through a checklist of possible causes, guessed it might be due to allergies, and prescribed antibiotics. I found that strange, since I only came in for earwax removal and my hearing had been perfectly fine beforehand. After the appointment, the PA had said she would “send my prescription” to CVS, which she had not done, so I had to wait to get the pharmacy sort it all out causing me to be at the pharmacy for an hour. My hearing remained completely blocked until late that night, when water finally drained from my ear and my hearing returned to normal. I did NOT start the antibiotics considering my hearing was completely fine after the water drained from my ear.

Two days after, I followed up with an ENT, who confirmed there was no ear infection at all and that it was most likely wax build up.

Looking back, the whole visit felt unnecessary and ultimately a waste of time and money. While others may have had positive experiences at Carbon Health, mine was disappointing.

My 9yr old had a sore throat and ear ache. Appointments were available right away and there was no wait time when we arrived. The doctor was so kind and understanding. They answered all my questions and made us feel good about the treatment we received. We are grateful!

I was told to come in for a follow up only for them to do nothing new and say they couldn’t help me. It was clear the nurse had not even read my chart notes from the previous visit since she didn’t know what the previous treatment had been. She did the exact same neurological tests that had already been done a few days before and then sent me away without even asking any questions.

The staff was on top of my health issues by getting me in effIciently and focusing on my health concerns, professionally and with a caring attitude by each person from the intern clerk to the medical assistant, and ultimately with the PA Audrey Ogg. In my prayers leading up to my care there, I asked our dear Lord for giving the medical staff a clear understanding of my health needs and also the resolution for them, and that God's will be done. I have followed the advice she instructed me for remedying my health concerns; and.now, I feel back to normal! Praise Jesus! Amen!

One suggestion I have for INDOOR signage is to post the following near your sign in the hallway for the people entering near the Whole Foods' entrance:
1. The hours of operation
2. "Enter from the street starting 9 a.m."
3. "The indoor entrance opens at 10 a.m."

Great place for urgent care. If you're sick or have a health problem, these guys are convenient, and knowledgable. You don't have to wait 2 or 3 hours in emergency, or try to see your Doctor. What's more there is a CVS Pharmacy at the other end of the mall that will text you when your prescription is ready for pick up. Staff is very helpful and because of the location plenty of free parking. Need some immediate care I highly recommend Carbon Health. Oh, and a summery of you visit and/or past visits are available on line through their app.

Very friendly and helpful from checkin to the medical staff. Audrey is knowledgeable and understanding of the situation. She made good suggestions which are practical and doable. She answered all the questions I had, very patient indeed. Thanks, Audrey.

The wait was a bit long, but the providers were great. They were also smart enough to tell me that they had no idea what was wrong and that I should see a specialist... that was great instead of them just guessing.

Clean, organized and efficient. The staff are excellent! I would prefer to go here rather than anywhere else for my healthcare needs. The staff are very accommodating and the appointments are easy to make.
