I bring my baby boy Teddy to camp bow wow twice a week while I’m in school all day. He gets to run and play and release a lot of his energy as he is past Aussie. I know when I leave him there he is in great hands and taken care of well. I also really like the cameras to check on him playing. The staff treat him as if he was their own which is also nice to see. He’s always so excited going in and sad leaving.

Millie loves it here. More than once when I’ve looked at the live cams the staff are sitting and playing with the dogs. She comes home happy and tired out from a day of care and enrichment while at camp bowwow. The front desk staff are always very kind and quick to find answers when asked.

Camp Bow Wow Elmhurst has always been great to work with and just the best with my dogs! They enjoy being there and I feel secure in knowing they are well cared for while I am out of town! I would recommend them to anyone looking for day camp or boarding!

Brought my dog in for the evaluation/assessment day.... I was clear on the phone that my dog was a covid puppy and had not had a lot of interaction with other dogs and that she was also attacked at the dog park when she was a puppy. We spend 24/7 together and she's unfamiliar with other dogs, so to say she's anxious is an understatement. All of which I fully explained before making the appointment.

Upon arrival, I didn't have a "proper" collar for her. I had a traditional belt type and not a clip together/easy release. So I purchased a new collar for her on the spot from Camp Bow Wow... something else that they didn't inform we needed prior to our visit.

Then a high school age employee comes out to take my dog to the back for her assessment. It took me longer to pick out the collar and pay for it then the time my dog spent with the "counselor" and the other dogs. They brought her back to me in less than 3 minutes!

I have a fun, loving, high energy golden retriever and so they threw her in with the big dogs immediately. Not a gradual meet and greet, not with just a few dogs... the entire room filled with giant dogs. At the time my dog was only 18 months old!

The reasoning that the young employee gave me.... she peed a little. Are you kidding me?!? She was terrified! You just took her away from me, Camp Bow Wow knew of her anxiety and that she had been attacked by a big dog at the park, and then immediately threw her into the lions den... I might pee too!! 3 minutes and they failed her.... 3 minutes and refused to work with her... 3 minutes if less time than it's taking me to write this review!

So I found a solution.... TOP DOG RETREAT in Elmhurst are hands down one of the best places around! They're kind, compassionate, they spend lots of time with the dogs and on an individual basis... And now my golden retriever is happy, thrives with other dogs big and small, spends time at day camp there and can't jump out of the car fast enough upon arrival!

Utterly disappointed with Camp Bow Wow!!!

My husband and I appreciate how good everyone here is with our dog, especially since she can be so shy around strangers and has separation anxiety! We love having a place we can trust she’s in good hands - and the cameras to check on her are a big plus 🙂

Camp Bow Wow has been the perfect place for day camp and boarding for my 3 year old German Shepherd for a couple of years now. She loves to spend her time away from home there with all the other fun dogs, and the wonderful, friendly, eagerly accommodating staff! I feel very comfortable leaving her in the care of Camp Bow Wow. They offer great services and competitive prices, and deserves a rating of 5 Stars.

I have boarded my dogs here several times. Each stay, the facility has proven to be both convenient and trustworthy. I had an emergency out of state and they were able to get my dogs in quickly (since I already had my dogs' vaccination records on file). I choose not to get my dogs groomed here as they have deemed my dogs to be difficult in the past (no other place has told me this) but I love their boarding services. It is helpful to be able to see my dogs on camera through the app.
