Tiffany at the Yuba City location is so helpful and friendly. So is all the other staff I had delt with. Also there has never been a time I went here and its not immaculatly clean. Best tan spoy around hands down.

No one explained what services they offer with my membership (which was a nightmare to cancel), or educated me on different tanning beds/lotions. I learned it all on my own. All they did was try to sell me products or upscale what I was doing bc THEY GET COMMISSION & felt like I was at used car lot. And didn't let me tan when wallet was stolen and didn't have I.D. even though been going there for months. Why don't THEY provide I.D. like a gym, if they expect it? Girls were nice to my face but heard them gossiping about ppl all the time. Over all I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this place. It's a scam & causes cancer anyway.

Kayden is an incredible individual working in Chico, California @ CaliforniaSun. She not only excels in her field but also knows the best lotion to enhance your skin tone, all about the beds and watching her train SO much staff on the regular!

I started going here a couple weeks ago just before my daughter's wedding. The girls here..especially the manager...but ALL the girls here have been incredibly kind and helpful. I have never laid in a tanning bed or used spa services before so I had a lot of questions and anxiety around asking those questions out of embarrassment but all of that went away very quickly when I realized how kind and caring this staff is! The spa itself is always clean and beautifully maintained, so combine that, with the welcoming atmosphere in the lobby and this place is absolutely a 10 out of 10 for me!

The staff is very friendly, however the corporate/ownership policy deciders are crooked enough to make me drive all the way to east ave to tan despite living literally 4 blocks from California Sun. I have had two memberships years apart at CS and each time I needed to cancel I had to print a form then mail it to their office in Yuba City. This is an absurd burden to cancel a beauty service - especially considering the college age demographic CS is serving. While I have stamps, a printer and all the rest that comes with an office, I resent this underhanded policy. Its clear intention is to siphon months of membership fees from college kids who are accustomed to paying everything online and who very likely have never mailed a physical letter. Why not provide an excellent product at a competitive price and leave these tactics in the gutter where they belong? This policy damages your brand.

California just passed AB2863 addressing these predatory “impossible to cancel” membership policies and I sincerely hope tanning salons fall under the scope of enforcement. I’ll leave that research up to CS management; I’ve done enough secretary work mailing cancelation letters to corporate as it is.
