My experience with their tech Ayden was horrible. Mark is a way better tech and compassionate. Ayden is pushy body and at times comes off inappropriate. I am a bigger women due to a non op brain tumor your beds are horrible there is no circulation and he kept asking why I could not lay on my back? Because I am sick with multiple disorders that overlap my body also does not make its on steroid (cortisol) them to ask me all these questions while I am trying to sleep. If that is part of the test they should tell the patient. They do not say anything about coming in and out all hours of the night. They also do not say they will be telling me when to go to bed. I understand for time reasons but I suffer from horrible anxiety and ptsd also not feeling safe is a trigger Ayden you go to have some patience for your patients some of us are struggling horribly while trying to keep smile on our faces.

My wife had been pestering me about my snoring for quite some time. I knew I snored, but one night I ran an app that analyzes sounds during sleep (Mintal Tracker-Highly recommended). Turns out I didn't just snore...I SNORED! REALLY bad! I knew it was bad, just not nearly that bad.

I got a referral to a sleep specialist from my primary doc. They ordered a 2-night at-home sleep test, and sent me to California Sleep Solutions. I had to make an appointment to pick up and return the equipment (which I thought was a bit odd for an at-home test, but OK). I met with the tech who walked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable with putting the sensors on. I can't remember her name offhand, but she was AMAZING!

The test was super simple. Strap the main sensor around your chest with the adjustable band, attach the nasal cannula and fingertip oxygen sensor, done. It even starts and stops automatically. I ran the test for two nights and brought the equipment back as scheduled. I had some concerns about whether or not the data recorded properly, but the tech even took the time to verify before I left that it had captured plenty of good data.

Not long after that I received my results and found out that I was having nearly 56 events per hour! No wonder I snored so bad and felt so tired during the day!

Unfortunately my doctor ordered my machine from another source. Had I known the runaround that place would be and that CA Sleep Solutions can handle that as well, I would have requested that instead!

Now that I've finally got all that sorted out and kicked the other sleazy company to the curb, I'm planning to give CA Sleep Solutions a try. I'm due for some replacement supplies, so hopefully they can help me out. To those complaining about the cost, don't blame this company, blame your insurance. Make sure you understand what your co-pay is, what your co-insurance percentage is, and what your annual out of pocket maximum is. I had met my deductible and annual out of pocket maximum, so the test, machine, and supplies cost me $0 out of pocket.

It's been three months on CPAP therapy, and it's made an AMAZING difference in my life! I sleep a solid 8 hours and am down to less than 1 event per hour on average.

Thanks for such a great experience!

I had a sleep apnea machine stop working at night
My wife woke me up because I was gasping for air the machine was on and not pushing air
From march I was told to stop use from doctors office and when I brought the machine in at the roseville office they did not have enough data
Watch out for the boss he told me he will report me to my doctor
He talked to me with attitude and hung up the phone
The technician was profesional just front office and Managment need a little training

Where to even start. Got yelled at by an angry woman on the phone who didn't know the answer to my questions and wanted to blame that on me. After that, I wanted to cancel my overnight study, but a nice manager named Jeanette finally did answer my very simple questions, and talked me out of it. Should have gone with my first instincts.
1. They only want to communicate through their portal, and don't respond to texts, even though that is offered as an option. When you do call on the phone, you may get helped, or you may get yelled at and transferred back and forth.
2. NO communication whatsoever about billing or insurance pre-authorization. NO bills in the portal, via email or snail mail. Just a button in the portal that says "Pay Now" and a dollar amount.
3. For the in-home study, be sure and watch random YouTube videos for complete instructions. Those, along with the comments on them from other patients, helped tremendously.
4. Once I had done my in-home study, I was told I needed the in-clinic overnight study for titration. However, trying to get details about that resulted in the yelling phone call mentioned above. Once I got there, there was confusion among the techs about why I was there, what I was there for, why, and what I already had done.
5. The Roseville clinic is in a moderately sketchy area. The parking lot backs up to the 80 freeway bushes. Patients should have the option of an escort to and from their cars at night.
6. The room itself is NOT like a hotel, it's like a dirty motel. Fabric headboard with stains on it, chair with ripped upholstery, stains on the ceiling. People are coming here because they CANNOT SLEEP. We are exhausted, stressed out, and now we're in a strange place with leads stuck all over us and what amounts to a SCUBA regular strapped to our face, on camera all night. That room should be like a damn spa.
7. I have no problem with being attended to by an intern, however, any intern should have their work checked by an experienced tech to make sure everything is hooked up correctly (it wasn't).
8. I ended up running the hell out of there at 2am like I was fleeing a murder scene.
Overall experience giving off REALLY STRONG "we are here for the insurance money" vibes. I literally question if I even have the Moderate APNEA diagnosed from the at-home study. I really really wanted the more comprehensive study to determine if I have any other sleep disorder. Maye I'll get that someday, but it won't be at California Sleep Solutions.

Pros: The technicians are very well-trained, and there were no delays during the sleep study. The equipment used for monitoring is thorough.

Cons: Manipulative policies have been implemented by management to get people in the door. Prior to starting the study, I had gotten written confirmation that I would have access to the recorded data in addition to the final diagnosis. Once the study occurred and my insurance paid, they gave me only the diagnosis with no data to quantify its severity, frequency, etc. Customer service claimed it's against their policy to provide any data apart from the yes / no diagnosis. Fortunately, this was a clear breach of the service contract and my insurance was able to void the claim quickly. I ended up having to go to a different sleep clinic (Sehatu Sleep Clinic) which provided all recorded data without friction.

It's a shame, since the technicians clearly care about the patients and go out of their way to ensure a smooth experience. But this is all compromised by the unreasonably restrictive policies of management.

If you do proceed with California Sleep Solutions, I would recommend getting in writing prior to the study start that recorded data will be provided like I did. That way, it will be possible to get the claim voided if there is a repeat of the above.

I had a on-site sleep study at the Roseville location. The tech herself was nice and attentive, 5-stars to her.

After nearly a *month* of them not receiving my doctor's referral it had to be hand-delivered. And now my Pulmonary office is saying they haven't received the fax of the sleep study results even though CSS told me they faxed it.

But here's the bigger problem. I'm a healthy weight and yet the mattress was so bad it was the worst sleep I've had in *months*. The results said zero REM sleep and only 152 minutes of any sleep. Then, I call my Pulmonary office to tell them that is not how my normal sleep is, and they tell me the mattresses are a *common* complaint with CSS. Absolutely avoid Roseville CSS if possible.

I was understandably nervous about doing a sleep study that my cardiologist ordered for me. The place was easy to find and very clean and welcoming. Why I was not very comfortable with all the leads that are put on to monitor everything it is all part of the process. As soon as I got there I was immediately put at ease by Shelly she was absolutely amazing. She definitely made a uncomfortable situation much better for me. Very caring and professional.

UPDATE:
The difficulty I had 5 months ago must have been an anomaly. There were severe problems reaching them and receiving responses at that time. However, the situation has completely turned around, and I have since had a home sleep study with California Sleep in Roseville, with no problems at all reaching the staff. They have been responsive and usually answer the phone on the first ring. No more voicemail.
I am updating my rating to 5 stars!

I have had very good experiences with this sleep lab in the past. Recently, I asked to be referred to the Roseville lab, based upon past experiences. This was a mistake. Calls to the only sleep lab number constantly go to voicemail, no matter what time of day called. Responses take days or weeks. This is no way to run a business. The current California Sleep Solutions is clearly not the quality-focused company of the past. I asked to have my referral cancelled, and will go elsewhere.
