Overall I liked this place. The doctor is nice, he is not pushy, he listened. I generally have a strong fear and distrust of doctors but so far I am satisfied.. appointments are easy. The staff was friendly. Also very very clean office which is a big plus.

If I could give zero stars, I would. After waiting two months for an appointment with Dr. Blackmon, I went to my appointment today only to have him walk in the room, look at me and say " I don't know you. I don't know anything about you and then he WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM. I have never been so humiliated and disrespected in my life. What a sorry excuse for a man who calls himself a physician. I went there every month to have my labs drawn for UAB kidney clinic. Never again will I darken the door of that arrogant "Doctor". And neither will my husband, who recommended this practice to me, because he had been a patient of Dr Blackmon's for many years.

I was in the MAT program and after 4 years Felicia Williams the nurse practitioner came in and told me that I was being discharged from the program after finding out I have a condition that without their treatmentI will die. She told me it was this reason and that but everything she said was a lie. When I left I was very upset bc she wouldn't even listen to me or look at my chart so I could show her she was wrong and Amanda Cotton called me, knowing how upset I was,and asked me if I wanted to get the treatment that could save my life I would have to go to this inpatient treatment (after four years of sobriety) so the doctor calls me and I told her to look at my chart and after looking at my chart she saw I was right but then said I couldn't come back because they discharged me because I my attitude which I would have never had if they had not discharged for no reason and refused to give me life saving treatments. So again removed because of my "attitude" but would give me 7 days of
the meds so I can find another doctor. I loved Dr. Amani but Felicia Williams is incompetent ,lazy and dangerous. She should NOT be with patients . That's why no one likes to see her. They will say this happened and that was said. Thank God for recorders on my phone and malpractice attorneys. ~Britani Young~ DO NOT SEE FALICIA WILLIAMS. She will not look at your chart and honestly acted like my doctor told her to kick me out but my doctor when she called me didn't even know what was going on. She lies and puts patients in danger. I requested never to see her but had to because Dr. Amani was out and this happened. Pitiful.

Ask to fill out paperwork twice once at reception (arriving early) and then asked same question by nursing assistant in exam room; waste of time.
