I am a patient of Dr. Carlos Sobral. The level of care he has provided to me has been nothing but sincerely compassionate and professional. He is very proactive, knowledgeable, respectful, and easygoing.
I fully trust him and his practice and extensive skills in the medical and other health fields. I couldn't recommend anyone else for your health care and primary care provider than Dr. Sobral. His recommended care and treatments are always in the best intentions; he always provides the extra and best precautionary practices with testing to measure successful outcomes and hope.
Dr. Sobral is patient, calm, and takes his time communicating and evaluating with me on my overall health and conditions.

I visit the Irvine office and do telehealth visits regularly with Dr. Sobral; today I needed to speak with the office regarding a few concerns and follow-ups...

I dialed the phone to the Irvine Caduceus location but was routed to the Laguna Beach:

I am writing this review in particular for the excellent attention and patience I received by Gaston at Laguna for my multiple questions.
I don't visit the Laguna Beach location, but I needed to speak with the office. Gaston was happy to assist me and took the time to address and answer each of my requests and provided answer's in such a great manner.
His understanding and willingness to go the extra mile for me were beyond my expectations.
Everything was well noted and completed in a few minutes. I am expressing my gratitude for the care and advocacy I received, ensuring to meet my special needs and being solution-focused.

This incompetent medical group charged me almost $100 for a medical visit that should last several months for refills and then when I complained about how unhappy I was with their service, they cut me off (while out of state) without a new prescriber and disconnected my Patient portal, I could not get any refills to hold me over until I found a new prescriber.. They put in a call that red flagged my medication in the new state, Probably because they are paranoid, Unfortunately, for them if investigated, they will find there’s no other prescriber. I emailed and called the general line and no one got back to me. One of the medications I take is known to cause seizures and possible life-threatening side effects if discontinued suddenly. The other, I am dependent on due to a birth condition. I started a new job last week at a factory and have had a sore throat for a week unable to get antibiotics. This is a business operating exclusively for money. After 14 years, it is my opinion. Their primary objective is themselves. I will call my credit card company to get a refund, and document all of my symptoms for a potential complaint to the state. And of course, God help them If anything happens to me.

I have always enjoyed going to Caduceus Medical Group. The staff are extra friendly and they will try their best to see you the same day.

However, I do have to leave a horrible review because that has been my experience today and yesterday.

For the last year or so, management and service has progressively gotten worse and today it has hit its worst. I had a virtual appointment yesterday with Dr. Sobral, which went great. He told me that the Medical Assistant would call immediately after the appointment to give me my prescription, instructions for blood work and lab order, and to set a follow up appointment. I waited that whole day and nobody called. I sent an email to follow up with no response.

I called first thing this morning, was on hold for 20 minutes, and then was answered by a call center who told me that they would pass the message along and that I would receive a call. Again, no call.

After another hour or two, I called again and waited on hold for an hour. I asked to be directed to the office manager, since clearly nobody was going to call. Whoever worked at the call center told me that she could NOT transfer me and told me that my message would be marked urgent and I would be called back immediately. You can guess it, but for the third time, nobody called.

At the end of the business day, I called a third time. All I needed was a lab order and some instructions. The person who answered the phone told me that she saw my message but that the office manager had disregarded it.

She transferred me and I then waited another 30 minutes to speak to the office manager. She apologized for the situation and resolved the issue. Although I do not hold negative feelings towards any of the staff, it's clear that this level of disregard is absolutely unacceptable when it comes to health care.

This same EXACT situation happened last year, and the office was so frustrating and difficult to get in touch with that I gave up on running the tests and trying to fix the problem. Instead, I tried to live and deal with my symptoms the best I could. Now, I am trying to take positive action but the office management has clearly gotten worse, and not better.

The fact that mistakes like these keep happening and that the wait time to be attended to is so outrageous is to me a sign that the staff are either negligent or underpaid and overworked. My experience has been awful and although they have been kind and even apologetic, my time has been wasted and I lost two work days just trying to get a lab order.

I don't usually write reviews but I am appalled at the horrible management and complete disregard. Best of luck to the doctors and staff, I hope you hire more or better staff to deal with the outrageous hold times and lack of communication so that your patients can be attended to and you can take care of them properly. I would really like to keep coming here and hope improvement comes quickly. Thanks

I've been going here for many many years.
I can say that it is very, very difficult to get through on the phone. Last appointment there was some Confusion, and I simply asked someone to call me back with the information. I never got a call back. When I showed up the Orders I needed were not there. Even though the other doctors office faxed it to them two times.
I'm dedicated to this office. But the communication is poor at best. Everybody knows human interaction is back in.
Not in 2020 anymore.
I hope they can improve this.

My provider was Tiffany, she was very efficient, helpful and knowledgeable regarding a serious condition with my skin. I received the care I desperately needed. I was able to get a telemedicine appt within the hour, and all staff members were so quick and nice. There is nothing worse than rude or negligent staff and I am so happy I switched to Caduceus, I have had top notch medical care, even with my HMO.
