The people at Job and family services are to slow and incompetent to approve people's Foodstamps. They make people wait ten days before they reactivate their Foodstamps. They need to work faster or find another line of work.

If I could rate this place a zero, I would. The staff here are so obsessed with following the "book" that they don't care about what you have to say. It's like everyone employed here permanently woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The people in this office are far from genuine; they don't want to help anyone. To them, this is just a job, and they seem completely oblivious to the power they have over people's lives. It's astonishing how much they can impact someone, yet they act with such indifference.

They give out web site and email information that is invalid! They actually lie to get you to give up. Be prepared to have to call and spend days trying to to the simplest of things.
It's disgusting how they treat you!

Never had to make a 1 star review. I applied for child care vouchers got called while at work and couldn’t answer because I work at a daycare and I have to have all of my attention on all the babies I care for. 3 times you guys called at 8:35, 8:40 and 8:45. I tried to call back right after seeing just for the phone number not to be available at all to reach the girl who called me. I called that week only to be on hold for almost 2 hours. I tried to call back again within the same week and said I had a wait time of 25 minutes and no one answered and waited an hour before having to hang up because no one answered. Called today waited almost 2 hours again just to be told I was mailed a list when I never received the list to be able to figure out the vouchers. Then I got told that it was past due so I needed to pretty much hurry up and get the information turned in. I have no idea where to email any of this information to and even with me writing the stuff down because I was told to. I had trouble trying to make sure I had everything down and without any list and being told there was no list anywhere for me to double check, is a bit of an issue. This wouldn’t have been a problem and it wouldn’t have been so delayed, If you guys would kindly answer the phones back and it wasn’t a 1-3 hour wait just to deal with this. I had even called the second time the week I was called and I even called earlier in the morning and no one answered. Seems like I am not the only one who has issues with the long wait and no one picking up the phones.

I waited for almost 2hrs on the phone today just to tell the office that my phone number had changed before the next renew appointment in 2 business days and when someone finally picked up the phone, she then hang up in 3 seconds before I could say anything. I have already updated my number on the website but the instructions said to call the office immediately. I will keep trying but this is taking so long for just a small request.

*Updates: after another call with 1 hour and 20mins wait, someone finally picked up my call and told me that they got my new number and will use this number for the reapplication interview. So in total, I had to wait for over 3hrs just to confirm that my phone number was updated appropriately.

*Updates: I am on another call today to report a small change and has been told the wait is 25mins and been waiting on the phone for over 2hrs now. Even if they put you on the priority call back list, you still have to wait for 2hrs.

Worthless is a an understatement, 15 minute automated menu, when you finally get option to speak to customer service representative it kicks you back to to do it all over again (even during normal hours)

Every single person I have talked to here has made me feel rushed, not important, worthless, and rude vague answers to make you not understand anything when you show understanding and respect they show you the opposite, they know they have you by the balls and they get off on it.

They truly do not care, all of them should be fired and unemployed.
