After visiting and researching several other facilities, we chose Brooksville Healthcare Center for our loved one. We continue to be impressed at every visit. Every staff member we observe is smiling, patient, engaged and encouraging to the residents. We see needs being met with dignity and compassion. Our loved one struggles with communication following a stroke and the staff has gone out of their way to accommodate his needs. A big shout out in particular to Suzanne , the housekeeper on his wing. From day one she has worked with us to understand his condition and many times has taken the initiative to problem solve needs. Also to Kara and her activities team, there are multiple ways each day to be entertained and engaged in a variety of stimulating activities. The staff make sure the residents who wish to participate make it to the activity room as many need assistance. We see staff taking extra time to try and communicate thru notes and gestures. We visit often and have always been welcomed. The facility is spotless, the meals are varied and delicious. We could not be more pleased and wholeheartedly recommend this facility.

Brooksville Health Care is the most wonderful place to have your love ones to be placed in. It’s very clean the staff is just wonderful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you and your love ones needs are met. Staff members Laurene, Kristi, Cheryl and Stacey are the best employees you could ever ask for that are caring for your loved ones.The Nurses and CNAs are what you want to care for your love ones.
I’m happy our love one is there. 5 STARS ten times over.

My mother was transferred from their sister location in Dade City, do to flood waters there. Well, I live in Brooksville and this made it very easy to visit my mom on a regular basis. So I proposed to my mom that she stay here, she did put up a little fight at the beginning, but after seeing how often I was dropping by, she didn't want to go back. Now, this was not an easy decision, because the other facility was and is amazing. The transfer was absolutely painless and extremely easy. My mom is a completely different person now, so much happier now and she really loves the staff here at Brooksville Healthcare Center. That goes for me as well. Every time I come in, which is often, no matter how early or late, everyone is so nice, friendly and accommodating! Thank you for Loving My Mom Brooksville Healthcare Center <3

Anyone looking for a rehab facility for their loved one understands the stress that comes along with it. Our family has gone through this several times over the past couple years with my father-in-law. Unfortunately, due to insurance changes we were not able to get into the facility that we thought was, superior and the best around. After receiving this news, I was off to visit all of the, “skilled nursing facilities” that our insurance company would cover. This is where Brooksville Healthcare Center comes into play. I met with Laurene from admissions and she could not have been more helpful. I immediately felt that my father in law would be in good hands. After my father-in-law was transferred to Brooksville I was pleasantly surprised by the staff. Everyone is so pleasant and welcoming. My father-in-law feels very comfortable here and all of the staff takes time to explain everything and answer all of his questions. I think the thing that I am most impressed with is the therapy. My father-in-law is 92 and lives alone which is amazing within itself. His goal is to be strong enough to get back home. He needs to work with PT and OT in order to be able to stand up sit down, walk as many steps as possible and transfer from his wheelchair, walker, to the bed, recliner, chair, etc. I cannot say enough about the Physical Therapist, Denyse, and the Occupational Therapist, Richard. The progress I have seen in just a matter of days is more than I saw in weeks at one of the top rehab facilities in the area. My father-in-law has a great attitude and is willing to do the work. Denyse and Richard listen to him and work with him so that they can get him home and in a safe environment as soon as possible and that’s all we’re asking for. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the fact that the food has been great as well. Congratulations Brooksville you are amazing all the way around!

I was admitted around 11:30 am on a Friday for what hospice calls a respite. It means my sister who is my caregiver at home hospice went on vacation so hospice put me in a facility for a week until she returned.

I never got my meds and every hour or so I would just ask for an update but they would only say that hospice had called the scripts in wrong and they were rude and dismissive of my symptoms as a hospice patient.

Even hospice was shocked by how lazy and uncooperative the staff was just trying to get things fixed.

The place is a dump and the staff is horrible

My Aunt was at this facility till the end of her life , she was so well taken care of here . They treat the residents with respect and are treated like family. The facilities are clean , the grounds are well taken care of the food is amazing, big shout out to Ms Frankie Plummer and her kitchen staff . The activities director keeps life entertaining for the residents and there is no time to get bored. The rehabilitation staff are amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The Nursing staff are so caring and attentive I can’t say enough good things about this place .

My mom arrived home in very bad condition. She has a Huge wound above her tailbone & butt. It's from the bed sores.. She just came home yesterday from Brooksville Health care center... That first picture is how you brought her home.. Mom also has very low blood pressure.. Here is a Pic of her wound.. It's absolutely horrible.. It also smells bad.. After care Nurse was here, Jennifer and she cleaned her wound & put some healing stuff on it& some big band aids..She suggested Mom go to the hospital, so they can address her wound... I would never recommend this place.

All I did was tour the center, but it looked so old and dated, from the 1980s. It also looked like the decorations were from the 1980s as well. There was no one available to officially give me a tour on the weekend, but the receptionist reluctantly did, but could barely answer any questions I had. Admissions people give very little information and never even told me that a special 3008 form needs to be included with referrals from doctors, even though they knew my LO is coming from out of state and only Florida centers need this form. I asked to be guided through the steps, but nope this super important piece of info was not provided. I eventually found out from Evergreen Woods Admissions I needed it. Glad someone spent time with me explaining more details. The outside garden area was nice,, but since it is not enclosed I was told patients can't even go out there as they might roam away, staff won't take them. They can only go when visitors like family take them. The one enclosed outside area where they can go was dirty and unappealing to say the least, barely any plants and no grass. It had two covered areas, the bigger one with a better cover from the hot sun is for smokers, yuck. The other area is tiny, and barely shaded. All rooms are shared, and the beds are narrow and small. The rooms were small for two people and weren't homey looking.
