Erline C. truly exemplifies what it means to be an exceptional Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). My family and I have had the privilege of working closely with my sister, Bridgette Trawick, who faced the harrowing challenge of recovering from a massive stroke along with a significant head bleed. During this difficult time, we were fortunate to receive care from Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital, which deserves nothing short of a perfect score for its outstanding services.

Erline C. consistently greeted us with a warm smile, regardless of the circumstances, offering comfort and encouragement that made a world of difference. Her compassion and dedication to her patients are truly inspiring, and I wholeheartedly believe she is a deserving candidate for CNA of the Year. The medical team at Brooks, including the doctors, was equally remarkable in their expertise and support.

If I could give him 10 stars, I would . If I could give10 thumbs up, I would. Amazing staff and care. My son was top priority 💞. I did apply for Helen's house, but remained on the waiting list. The pull out sofa bed was fine. It allows me to be with my son day and night. Day and night staff was super, friendly, professional, respectful, empathetic and patient and kind. Love you guys and your work speak for you. 🌹❤️

When our mother, Mari, suffered a massive stroke, our families world was turned upside down. Navigating her recovery was daunting, but the incredible team at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital became a beacon of hope for our family. We are forever thankful for the outstanding care and compassion she received during her time there.

Tracy, her occupational therapist, was nothing short of amazing. She worked with our mom so patiently and always with such genuine care. Sierra’s dedication as a therapist also stood out, making every session impactful. Kylee and Maddy, her speech therapists, showed incredible patience and care, helping our mom find her voice again, which meant the world to us. We also highly recommend the music therapy as it plays a key role in recovery.

The physical therapists were equally impressive, consistently encouraging our mom and celebrating every small victory with her. And we would be remiss not to mention Eleanor, whose welcoming and energizing attitude brightened even the most challenging days.

The journey has been difficult, but thanks to the unwavering support and expertise of these extraordinary professionals, our mom is on a path to recovery we once thought impossible. We are forever grateful to the entire Brooks team for the impact they’ve had on our mother’s life.

We moved my father to this facility after 20 really disappointing days of no progress at a place called Fountains at Mill Cove. My father was recovering from 3 spine surgeries, the most serious being a laminectomy to repair an AVM. He went into the first place unable to transfer from a wheelchair, and they wanted to send him home in the same condition. Fountains kept him for 20 days, but he made almost no progress. Brooks had him for 20 days, and released him to another rehab center (River City Nursing and Rehab) actually able to walk 4-5 steps. We went with that facility recommended by Brooks, and 60 days later, my father walked back into his house, including climbing the stairs at the front. He has been living independently for the last year.

The worse experience. Son's paper work coded wrong. And wasn't informed til the day I went in for a speech eval. Then was able to get another evaluation Oct 2 for his PT. I called and called to make sure he wouldn't fall in the cracks. Was told by Kristen is speech therapist she would call me when it's completed. She never did. I called back December and they never reopened his PT case. But his speech was all set to go. Asked for a different location as it was closer to where we lived. No one ever called. Then they told his orthopedic doctor we kept cancelling appointments. Wasn't true. Staff is terrible. Kristen from speech is very rude. Will not be back to this location.

During the past 6 weeks, two in ICU, two in progressive care and from there two weeks at Brooks Rehab Hospital. My husband Frank has been seen by numerous doctors.
The only Dr that stands out is Dr. Persaud
at Brooks Rehab Hospital on University Blvd.
He went above and beyond. He took the time to listen. He acknowledged Frank's dire circumstances. Dr. Persaud didn't just stand by, shake his head like the others.
Absolutely not! Dr. Persaud put into action the oath he took to save lives.
He genuinely cares and loves what he does.
It just naturally exudes from him.
Because of Dr. Persaud going the extra mile,
Frank is able to see a surgeon that specializes in the delicate surgery Frank needs, which is life saving.
Brooks is blessed to have Dr. Persaud!
