5/5

I honestly expected Body Sculpting By Sal just to be another version of a Massage Envy type place, where it feels good, but they are really focused on seeing as many people that it is hard to relax. Once I arrived he asked me if I had any problem areas, and after that we started per usual Massage face down first. I forgot to mention that my massage was the VIP 120 minutes Deep Tissue Massage which includes Aroma Therapy, and Foot Scrub. Anyways he started by having me take three deep breaths in inhaling oils filled with lavender, chamomile, vanilla, and jasmine by choosing the aroma therapy the oils helped relax my non stop working mind, so that I could really enjoy the massage. He began working on my back, and used an awesome heating lotion that allowed the pressure to get down to the core of the problem. I was asking him some questions about deep tissue massage, because I just thought it was when a therapist uses more pressure, but actually it is when (yes they do use more pressure). but they are breaking down to the third layer of the skin which is where the problems are.All of the sudden he asked me to put my arms under the bed, and rest them on this hanging shelf thing from the bed, I was like what the heck is this thing, but when he started massaging my shoulders, and neck again, and the way my body was aligned when my arms were resting on the shelf took the deep tissue massage to a whole new level. I laughed at this swinging shelf contraption at first, but now I am all about it! Finally he continued with the whole body, and foot scrub. I just thought he was going to wash my feet with exfoliate, and be done. No , he massaged my feet while scrubbing them, then he wrapped my feet in hot towels, and continued the massage . I really advise on adding a foot scrub to your massage, because it made me more relaxed, and also a lot of our toxins are focused into our feet so it just felt like it would have been incomplete without it. The day after the massage I was sore, and all I could do was sleep, because it had been so long since i received a massage, and not just a massage a real deep tissue massage that all my toxins were finally starting to get out of me that my body was in over drive trying to get rid of them. Needless to say I scheduled one for the following week as well, because it felt amazing, and seeing how tired i was the next day really showed me how important having regular massages really are!
