I came to Bodhi two years ago seeking support for a marijuana and alcohol addiction. I have received so much help and value from this heartfelt and professional team. The multi modalities they offer and the care they extend to each person that comes in is amazing, and something I have witnessed over and over. Not only do you get the really thoughtful and richly designed program, they offer free ongoing group therapy twice a week.

I am blown away by the compassion, expertise and resources that Jonathan and the staff at Bodhi Addiction And Wellness Center provided my family with. From my first contact through ongoing follow up and support during really difficult times, Bodhi has been a true gift. Jonathan immediately returned my call, accessed community supports, and put me in contact with the right people and services in the most timely, caring and effective manner. Because of their support, I was quickly able to access resources that I didn’t even know existed for my son and my family! I could not recommend this program more highly. I feel so grateful that I decided to contact them. Amazing empathetic services and staff that just get it. They do it with heart and love. I have helped my son and family navigate through many local treatment programs over the past couple of years, and it wasn’t until I connected with Jonathan/Bodhi that things started really coming together! Bodhi Addiction Treatment and Wellness failed me.

I was a client here for one month at the beginning of 2023. I entered their care in an extreme state of crisis, and Bodhi ensured me I was in good hands. Despite their promises of quality mental health care, the staff at Bodhi was consistently unprofessional and not at all trauma informed. Though they seem well intentioned, in my experience they are not trained to handle mental health crisis. They will claim they will “surround you with the care and resources you need” when this is simply untrue, as they are Ill equipped (Empty promises are common in the mental health system because they derive profit from people desperate for help). Often times staff would not know how to manage their triggers around clients, and project their traumas onto cliental, which is extremely damaging to the process of healing. In addition to this, many of the main staff at Bodhi are involved with each other in a personal way (father and daughter, as well as boyfriend and girlfriend relationships) which I think is just…. Strange. This definitely contributed to the lack of professionalism among staff.

I hope all staff, upon reading my review (as I’m sure you remember who I am) do some deep digging into trauma centered care, and consider taking up further training to ensure the safety of the vulnerable population you claim to serve. I hope you do not disregard my review and discredit my voice just because your authority feels threatened, as this would do your future clients a grave disservice. Even in writing this review I am aware of the imbalance of power and how easily how words could be dismissed. Remember you all CHOSE a career of service to a vulnerable population and it is YOUR JOB to provide high quality care, lest you damage us even further, which you already have, to me. I hope you choose to do the right thing, and I hope you feel shame, Jonathan.

Bodhi is a life-altering health and wellness facility, and the support is there for anyone looking for help. They will welcome you with open arms, and a smile, and will never pass judgement, for anything. Bodhi truly is a place where you can be yourself, no matter what that looks like.

Bodhi is a place of healing, and is a transformative center for those who need it, and are willing it utilize it to its best ability. Bodhi provided me with the tools and support that I never had in my life to address my addictions and binging abuse, as well my myriad of mental health trauma. Bodhi is rooted in it's holistic approach to care, and supported me with resourceful psychological treatment for my decades-old trauma, life/ fulfillment coaching to help with my external relationships, as well instilling a sense of community around me, “Bodhi Buddies” as we collectively liked to call one another. An integral part of their treatment services is also BlueJay Herbs, and the traditional healing of Bodhi’s resident Shaman, David Kukkola. BlueJay Herbs can treat any ailment that is known to man, and can (and will) alter your perspective around what true healing really is.

The purpose-drive clinicians at Bodhi do not shy away from who they are, and how they can support individuals on their recovery journeys. I was a client for their full 3 month program, and am a changed person after having been supported by Bodhi. I entered into treatment filled with hatred for myself, paralyzed in fear, shame and guilt. Through the wellness support and sense of belonging instilled by the owner (Jonathan) permeating throughout the facility, I was able to find my lost identity. I was able to bring many of the struggles I faced through my substance addictions, from the darkness and hidden in secrecy, to the light. And for the first time in my life I was able to process these broken parts of myself. And it was all done in a nurturing, protective, cohesive, and safe environment.

I learned through Bodhi that recovery does not have a finish line, but because of Bodhi I am now more fortified to take on the addictive and mental health challenges I’d kept in isolation my whole life.
