BoardPrep is fantastic. The entire group of therapists are amazing. Liz and John Harden did everything they could to create a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment. I am forever grateful for Dr. Derek Robben, Liz and John, to all of the therapists (Will, Julia, and Leora), and treasure my time at BoardPrep, as well as the immense knowledge and insight I’ve gained. At Boardprep, I developed a habit of meditating and doing yoga daily, and morning and nightly routines that I continue now. I could choose from different AA meetings sometimes which I enjoyed. The homework was useful. My therapist, Leora, was great, very kind and able to gently guide me to to epiphanies. The recovery coaches, Brian and John, were very easy to talk with and supportive. The weekend activities were fun, showing us sober fun. I started going to the gym everday and continue to. I still go to the alumni AA meetings, and see tge psychiatrist and nurse practitioner and one of the therapists from Boardprep.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for the staff at Board Prep Recovery and for the impact my time there has had on my personal, mental, spiritual and emotional growth. My life has changed completely for the better. At Board Prep I was held accountable for my actions and I was introduced to 12 step living through AA participation. The group setting is small and professional. I got personal, individualized treatment for not only substance abuse, but trauma and mental health challenges. I was able to relate to others in the medical profession who dealt with the same types of daily pressure at work as I did. I got the opportunity to finally be open, vulnerable and honest among my peers in our groups. Empathy and compassion grew among us in our group meetings. We held each other accountable and also had fun together and grew in sobriety together. I have made lifelong friends. At Board Prep, I had the opportunity to have multiple 1:1 therapy sessions a week, daily TMS treatment and weekly EMDR sessions. Most of the staff is in recovery and they understand how tough the journey can be to get well and rebuild a new life of sobriety from the ground up. The cheered me on along the way. This place was a god-send for me. Truly saved my life. I'm grateful to Will Downie for leading our groups in an exemplary manner and for being so relatable. My parents really enjoyed the weekly family bootcamp that he led. Julia, Leora, Micah, and other staff members all played a special part in this life changing experience. John Barden the recivery coach was an excellent source of support, wisdom and guidance. The owners John and Liz were involved in daily operations and clearly invested in helping medical professionals recover. I now work in the addiction medicine and every day I get to pay it forward and be of service to my own patients. I am reminded of the way the Board Prep staff patiently loved me back to life again while I was still very sick and today I strive to do the same thing everyday day for those under my care. It's become crystal clear to me that Board Prep Recovery is a high quality top notch facility. If you are serious about getting sober, changing your life for the better, and saving your medical career, don't hesitate. Its worth every penny! Thank you Board Prep!
