I’d gotten something in my eye in a Saturday, when all optometrists were closed. I went to urgent treatment. They determined I had a scratched cornea. Prescribed an antibiotic ointment. By Wednesday, I was getting no relief, I was miserable!!! I walked in to this office and they worked me in. The staff was so nice and understanding. The doctor got what looked to be a seed of some kind,out of my eye,that was under my upper eyelid. IMMEDIATE RELIEF!!!!! I would recommend this office to anyone!!

An awesome eye care center. From the time you walk in the door until the time you leave. The staff and Dr., are awesome, friendly and explain things to you in laymen’s terms. When it came time for me to choose frames, there was not any high pressure sales to buy from them. Highly recommend and will continue with this practice when we return every winter.

I have been going to Big Lake Eye Care for the last two years and I have to say that all of the office staff are excellent. I was able to get an appointment in a timely manner and received reminders of my upcoming appointment. Dr. Bartow is excellent. He takes his time explaining all the results of the eye exam, and he is just a really nice guy. The ladies that helped me pick out my new glasses were also excellent, they let me look through as many as I wanted, did not rush me to make a decision and took the time to measure the frames for my bifocals. If you are in Okeechobee and needing Eye care I definitely recommend going to see the folks at Big Lake Eye Care.

I've been seeing Dr Bartel for 20+ years. I have never had a problem getting an appointment. Dr Bartel always has time to talk and answer any questions I've had. I needed cataract surgery and he referred me to the best! Okeechobee is blessed to have him here!

This was the best customer service I have ever received anywhere. The staff was great and kind at all times. The doctor has patience with the patient lol she answered All my questions and was very professional.

Took me in for exam within an hour as a walk-in. The they did work up and had me referred to the retinal specialist that very same day. Excellent service. Dr Paramore is wonderful and so was Dr Mesch in Sebring

Love Dr Bartel and Staff! Very clean and comfortable atmosphere! This place is wonderful! Have been going here for 2 years now and I wouldn’t choose another Doctor! Dr Bartel is the greatest!

First time patient for a potential occular issue. The entire staff was extremely thorough and helpful. I had Dr Jenna and she is amazing!! Going to be a lifetime patient. Highly recommend!!!
