I started with Dr. Somji in September 2022. In less than a year, my weight is almost 20 pounds down, my cholesterol numbers are down into almost-normal ranges, and my blood sugar levels are down tremendously. Testing had shown that I was in extreme danger of developing Type II Diabetes if I didn't change things. Dr. Somji provided advice and supplements based on blood tests that your primary care physician won't typically order. Dr. Somji believes in discovering and treating the root cause of your health deficiencies to prevent them from becoming illnesses. He doesn't just treat symptoms. He heads off the problem before it becomes chronic. It would be nice if every doctor were able to practice such preventive medicine this way. There would be much less obesity, diabetes, and other illnesses if they did.

Dr. Somji is an amazing doctor. He is honestly the best doctor I have worked with. He is kind and caring. You can tell he actually cares for the health of his patients and really genuinely wants them to heal/ get better. He explains information to you in a way that YOU can actually understand. He goes very in depth when explaining things. He answers any questions you have. He is on top of his responsibilities. He answers you back very quick on the Better app. He is very good with communicating with you and will assess you with any help you need. He is a very intelligent doctor and knows what he is doing. I am so glad I started working with him. My health has improved so much. My skin and gut problems are 10x better now. I feel very healthy and happy.

Dr. Somji is amazing. I've suffered through multiple GI issues over the past decade going from doctor to doctor, running multiple tests on me only to find dead ends. With Dr. Somji, I've been able to find the answers I've been looking for for years in order to start healing my gut. He was able to identify the root causes of multiple GI issues I've had. He takes his time to listen to all my thoughts, concerns, doubts, worries, etc. and never rushes me. Also taking time to explain things in a way a anyone could understand. It's so refreshing to find a caring doctor instead of being rushed out the door. Because of Dr. Somji, I'm on my way to healing my gut and having the answers and results I've been looking for.

Dr. Somji is amazing! I was suffering from GI issues for years. I went to multiple doctors and specialists, only to be told repeatedly that I had an infection, and was given multiple courses of antibiotics. They would help, but only temporarily. I sat down with Dr. Somji over a year ago, and after going through his 3 month Gut Health program, he was able to figure out the root cause for my issues and prescribed a course of natural methods, to not only heal my issues, but to give my body the tools it needed to maintain my gut health.

Did it take a long time? Yes (it was a 3 month program)
Was it hard? Yes...very. (it was a radical change in my diet until I was better)
Was it worth it? YES!!!

I know it sounds dramatic, but Dr. Somji changed my life. I was at a point where I was starting to get depressed about the fact that I was always scared about what would happen to me after I ate a meal. I no longer worry about that.

If you are having health issues, and feel like traditional medicine hasn't been able to figure it out, please talk to Dr. Somji. He's a very caring doctor, and will work hard to figure out how to make you better.

I have been forced to work with Beyond Medicine for 3 months and this is only because they are automatically billing with no way to cancel their services.
You meet no one in person though they sell it as multiple zoom meetings to review your initial bloodwork and progress over 6 months. You must sign up for the 6 month program.
My experience has been hunting down the doctor, assistant and nutritionist to have even a half hearted response the first 2 months.
After lodging multiple complaints I finally received an update from the doctor who post our conversation said he would correct his teams' communication. This was Sept 20th. I waited until today Oct 25th and I received ZERO messages, emails, calls, etc from anyone with this practice.
I have received no feedback or program based on my bloodwork.
It took over 1 month for their office to even order the labs for them to be sent, then another 2 weeks of my harassment to get an appointment with the doctor.
They are either so disorganized it is nearly unbelievable or absolutely a scam.
My recommendation would be to find a functional medicine doctor with an established practice and offers in person consultation only if you are out looking for true help with optimizing your health.
