I had taken almost 2 hours to methodically fill out the paperwork that Dr Stevens would require. After meeting his nurse she said she didn't have it and we went through 45 minutes of filling out more. Dr Stevens walked in to this first time appointment and talked about himself the entire time. After I explained my main reason for being there, which was a hip problem, he turned around to head out the door looked over his shoulder and said it's muscular. He said you wouldn't be walking if there was a problem. No refills, no test, no x-rays, etc.
Since that time, I have had meetings with orthopedic surgeons and an MRI and recommendation is a hip replacement. I would avoid him any chance you get unless you want to talk about his problems.

I moved to the area a few years ago. The entire process of setting up with a new doctor can be an extremely stressful situation. As an older lady, finding someone that listens to you and that is sincerely invested in your health, is too often, difficult to find. Dr. Stevens and his staff have been absolutely incredible in regard to my treatment. He has always been very kind and very proactive. I have enjoyed more progress with my health care under his management, than ever before. I recommend Dr Stevens wholeheartedly.

I was transferred to Dr. Stevens because my doctor left the group and they did not asked in any way what I wanted from the medical group. After seeing Dr. Stevens he wanted to change “all” my medications and overall health plan. He likes to quote from other organizations like the CDC for guidance. None of my questions were answered directly and I did not feel he was a good fit for treating me. Note, some of the problem is being tied back to BRMC. They like to control everything.

I wasn't sure if I would like a younger doctor. Dr. Stevens. is a class act. I drive doctors a little crazy not taking my meds or doing what they tell me. Dr. Stevens has boundaries. He cares, but my problems are my problems. He has worked with me to try and find a way to help me suceed. I can't tell him or anyone some things. I feel like I can only give him part of the story and then ask him to come up with a solutîon. He has fought the good fight. I honor him.

High recommend Dr. Stevens he has been my family doctor for about 3 years now he makes sure you understand everything all the pro and cons to whatever it is your seeing him for. Very nice man, glad he is my primary care physician
