Its very convenient that my doctor, bloodwork, and several specialists are all on the same property. Patient portal is so easy to get questions answered & appointments booked. Dr. Austin is a great doctor and quick to follow up whenever questions come up between appointments.

2.7 stars is right on the money. For 12 yrs my doctor was good & fair. I desperately want to believe that it isn't the actual doctors who are screwing up this practice as much as it might be the staff, "the group itself", or its garbage business tactics.; but who knows? In any event, there are plenty of other medical facility to consider before this one. In a nutshell, I had a throat infection that required antibiotics which could have easily be prescribed without a visit, especially considering I had just seen my doc 3 months prior. Nope - they expected me to come into the office all the while, they didn't have an appointment for 1 whole week. I told them I would have to see another doctor or go to urgent care because a throat infection requires attention within the next day or two; they agreed. For that reason I was discharged from seeing my doctor anymore. TWELVE YEARS of medical history in this practice under the same doctor and this was my treatment from the office. So yes, 2.7 stars makes sense.
Look at all the recent 1 star reviews! Hmph, interesting.

Dr. Jeff Lyons is the best. He has an awesome bed-side manner, personality, and sense of humor. He is very easy to talk to and will always return a call or text. If you are looking for a great primary-care physician look no further! 5+ stars!

Front desk literally acts like you’re a burden to them when customers pay their damn salaries. Rude and careless people. Doctor reschedules all the time and I end up seeing other people and they don’t fill my script properly so I have to come back and pay for another visit mind you because my doctor suddenly isn’t available. Why even schedule an appointment then. Worst location for medical care in Sarasota. If you want to be treated like a burden this is the place to go.

This place is impossible to get through to when calling to make an appointment. They're rude when you finally get through. My doctor was ok some of the time, but I probably should have left long ago like I wanted to. The last time I saw her, she was very late and charged me for two appointments without warning and rolled her eyes and rudely dismissed me when I asked her opinion about a diagnosis. If I had to guess, I'd say working at Intercoastal really stinks if the doctors are snippy and it's hard to get enough help. They feel the need to nickel and dime everyone to death. Healthcare is expensive enough without these guys taking extra money. They're really the bottom of the barrel for healthcare.

Dr Powell is a great Doctor. Treats me well. But everyone else there are not very nice. They never smile. Very blunt when they talk to you. They all act like they don’t want to be there and act like you’re a nuisance. I think this place has way too many patients and are overloaded. I feel like I’m just a number there. Also it’s very hard to get a person on the phone. I Might go elsewhere.
