This was one of the most unpleasant time at this business. I ended up returning my glasses but they nickel and dime you to death. Bit of a rip off! 20% restocking fee! Never heard the likes from any eyeglass place I’ve ever been to!
Update!! Went to Walmart and the customer service was great! plus they give you 60 days to return if not happy and they DO NOT charge you 20% for restocking!!
Also you get a choice of lenses. I wish I had gone to them in the first place. I’m surprised this company is still in business.

Dr Bender friendly and thorough. Front desk personel, cordial, not overly friendly, but not rude. Ordered new lenses, reasonable prices. Friendly service while ordering. Lenses came in, received call and was told no appontment needed to have them cut and put in frames. Called to confirm when I was able to pick up, since I'm over 20 miles away and was told that I could bring glasses in. Get to office, and was told the person that does that did not come in. Left frames to be picked up the next day. Send husband to pick up glasses. Lady did not come in again and glasses were not done. Husband picked up glasses. He was told to come back the following Monday. Called to confirm on Monday, before going because I live over 20 miles away. Was told that there is only 1 person that cuts lenses and she did not come in again,but would be there at 3. I was told I could bring frames in and pick up after 3....again, I live over 20miles away.
Was discouraged not to come in to wait for service to be done, because it takes over 20 mins. Left message for this person to call me to confirm that I can come in and get glasses done the same day while I waited. Never received call, still waiting for my glasses that have been paid for. Very dissatisfied at this point!!!

I want to be transparent as I’m sure they are not always open like this having appointments but in my true nature thought about needing an eye exam done as I was coming up on Bender. Called and asked if they except walk-ins and the lady was very nice and said sometimes if there is a cancellation. I asked if I could come in right then so she checked the schedule and said yes come in. I literally was pulling in the parking lot haha. I was in and out within an hour with a sample of my new contacts, new contacts ordered which take roughly 5 days to come in and fitted for glasses!

They have budget friendly frames and lenses.

Not a huge fan of eye appointments but I guess that’s because I’ve been going to the wrong place. The Doctor was absolutely perfect. He was quick, efficient, and didn’t make me second guess my exam answers (yes always did that) and well the Staff was above and beyond the most wonderful people I have ever interacted with. From the moment I walked in to the extremely picky ways of my wanting the exact frame they were so helpful an kind. Patient for life.

Amazing service!! Amazing staff!! Excellent doctor!!! Went for my long over due eye exam and absolutely had the greatest experience from making my appointment to ordering my glasses. Thanks to a friend and coworker for referring me here. I will be sure to tell other out of towners about the best eye care service in this area. It is hard to come to a new area and not know where to go to establish care with a specialist.

You WILL NOT find a more professional, courteous and thorough eye care team ANYWHERE. I found Bender eye care after a TERRIBLE experience with another eye care associate group in town who herded patients in like cattle and wanted payment up front before they provided any kind of service. Not at BENDER. I feel like I am the only patient that they have EVERYTIME whether on the phone or in person. They have the knowledge and take the time to work with you and your insurance company to make sure that you receive the most of your eye care benefits. I went there to get contact lenses and I have never worn them. They eye care technician spent an hour with me while I fumbled through and she never got frustrated and wouldn't quit until she was SURE that her job there was well done even though we were pushing closing time:) Everyone has bad days but not there! Greeted with a smile and always happy to help! Can't say enough good about this place!!!
