Dr Smitherman performed my lower back surgery and did a great job. He and Ashton explain things thoroughly. However, getting the appropriate ppwk filled out and sent to insurance and my place of employment has been a whole other story. Need to get back to work but am still waiting for them to send in my fmla form clearing me. Very frustrating. But i am very happy with the care i received from the Smithermans.

Adam Smitherman did another wonderful job on my lower back. The first surgery he did saved my life a few years ago. This one was on my lower back and he did another great job. I would and recommend him to anyone who needs this kind of care.

I had an appointment on 8/30/2024 at 845 am. I got there at 8:15 am to do the paperwork. Terri, at the front desk was very polite and helpful with working on my insurance and getting my paperwork to fill out. Other girls in the office (nursing staff) came up and talked very polite also. I was taken back to the room at 8:40 and had my vitals taken. After that not one person came to check or say anything to me for over an hour. I went out and asked a nurse what time my appointment was and she confirmed my appointment was 8:45 am. So the time is now 9:47 am so I went up front and told Terri that I was in there over an hour and that I either need to see someone else or go somewhere else. She went back to the back and said that they were looking for me so I went back in and sat down. Dr Adam Smitherman came in and shut the door and said sorry I am late (rudely). I said I got here early and filled out my paperwork like I was asked and sat for over an hour and he said I’m on call, have calls bla bla bla (which is not my problem)with a rude look and tone while grabbing the door knob to go back out he said, I said I was sorry we can either continue or you can go see someone else. Damn if I’m going to continue with a doctor that I had just met and an attitude like that and for him to do any type of surgery or recommend anything to fix my back, I do not recommend Adam Smitherman at all. I did make another appointment in the same office with Dr Allen Gocio on the 9th. So hopefully Adam Smitherman’s attitude doesn’t rub off on the other Drs.

Squeaky front door. Really busy. I was there with a friend for a couple of hours in the waiting room. Decided to take a few pics of my lovely waiting room view. Check um out. 27 inch flat screen took me back 10 years. Still a nice building. They offer hand sanitizer as soon as you walk through the door. That was a relief.

Dr. Smitherman preformed back surgery on me on 02/14 and did an amazing job. While it has only been three days, I already notice a great improvement and feel like I'm getting my life back! During my initial visit he really spent a great amount of time with me and went in to great detail about the results of my M.R.I and explained exactly what he would be doing to correct the issues I was having. He gave me try hope that day and I left his office with 100 percent confidence in him and his plan. He scheduled my surgery and completed it within less than three weeks. He assured me that my pain (and it was severe pain) would be relieved shortly after surgery. To my relief, he was correct. He treated me with compassion and kept my husband up to date and talked to him before he took me back for surgery and after my surgery. When I arrived at the hospital I was extremely exhausted and fell asleep before I was even called back to be prepped for surgery. I actually slept through all of it. Dr. Smitherman did arouse me long enough to talk to me about something he felt he needed to address and i dif not wake up again until I was in recovery so I cannot critique the surgery preparation details except to say it must have gone very smoothly for me to sleep (unsedates) through the process of getting prepped! His staff have all been great to me and my spouse and the bedside manner was excellent. I am home doing everything the doctor and his staff recommended I do to help my recovery go smoothly. I don't know that Dr. Smitherman will ever read this personally, but if you do, thank you for everything! My family thanks you as well.

EVERYONE READ THIS BEFORE GOING HERE!! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! First of all, I had surgery here by Dr Smitherman, turns out he is all about money and not his patients! Do not believe this guy or the people working here! They do not care about you and you as a patient but money ?. They completely turned on me and my family! Office staff are the rudest people I have ever encountered! Terry was yelling at me and my wife and even threatened my wife saying why don’t you just come up here tomorrow, as if she wanted to fight her! True story! Carol gossips about patients behind their backs, it’s horrible. Absolutely nobody who is a patient deserves this! Dr Smitherman said to me on the phone he will always back up his office people over his patients! WOW ?! What a disgrace! I put my trust in these people and wow was that a huge mistake! Me and my wife listened to them on speaker phone and they were absolutely being nasty to us both. Very sad that even the doctors don’t put the patient first! And he also cut my mom’s spinal cord leaving her throwing up on herself for days. I had to call and demand for help! Meanwhile they won’t even follow up on my back surgery on my last appointment (one year checkup) claiming they no longer take my insurance because they are having trouble getting paid by Home State Health. They didn’t offer any empathy, any referral, just cancelled my appointment without telling me! My mom brought up my name to them stating I had an appointment after her and they said no he doesn’t. I would not have known they cancelled unless she did that. They just threw me out like I was nothing, with all excuses and no answers! This is totally unacceptable and uncalled for! Nobody should be treated this way! They all need to be fired! As a person who just wanted to know if my spine is fully fused, they would not help me in the end! They are evil people y'all!! Avoid this place, trust me. Now I have no idea if my back has issues or is healed. I still have back pain. This is horrific.

I have found the doctors and all the supporting staff here to be truly caring and compassionate. They really listened to and addressed my concerns. Dr. Smitherman and Ashton have done a great job taking care of my spinal needs. Dr. Smitherman and his associates did an excellent job on my surgery. The front desk and check out staff are friendly and courteous.

I had an ACDF surgery done, and Dr. Bradley and all the staff were really amazing all the way through. They took care of my insurance which was trying to deny the surgery. I have a suspicion Dr. Bradley actually got involved. It was scary, because the first time I spoke to him, he told me a disc had to come out. He apologized for it being scary, was very compassionate and explained it very well. Less than a week later, I had my surgery. I healed well and while I have a nerve in my neck that gets uncomfortable sometimes, overall I am very happy and satisfied.
