I came to hospital tues morning for carotid arteries surgery I had gotten nervous because my surgery time had been changed three times but once I stepped through the front door everyone was so nice starting with the ladies that check ID, then the registration clerks was great, and once I was called back all the nurses, the lab tech was awesome, I am sorry I can't remember every person name because everyone I encounter was simply wonderful, I saw their professionalism and I immediately became so calm and felt that I was in good hands. Just few names I do remember Misty, Rex, Lora, Dianna and Jan my nurses in the unit. All praise belong to God and I thank him for people like all the employees I came in contact with this week.

Incredibly kind and respectful staff. Mother was stuck in the ER FOR DAYS. The doctors have great bedside manners, took time to answer all questions and were methodical in finding and eliminating contributing health issues. The nurses were incredible. They brought her food and took great care of her. She was especially impressed by ER Nurse Willie, due to his ability to walk right into the room, take a mental assessment of everything and meet her needs before she even knew she needed something.

I waited to post this but this hospital was the rudest I am have been inside. I wanted in the front door of the ER one 2 people were nice. Everyone else in the front lobby very rude and disrespectful. You ask question they would look at you as if your the problem. The staff really need some training. People are there for a reason they need help. No people to treat them and there family's like trash. I live in Tennessee and I pray to the Lord above I don't have to enter that business again.

To be honest the 1 star is super generous here. I had an allergic reaction and the waiting room was full when my mom dropped me off at the emergency entrance while she found a parking spot. My airways were closing and I could barely breathe let alone speak, the security guard at the front told me to check in, sit and wait despite my condition. It took my mother having to yell at the nurses to get them to even take me in, I could’ve been gone in that waiting room had they made me sit longer. The nurses are were rolling their eyes and acting like they had somewhere better to be when they had a waiting room full of people and no one back yet when my mom finally got me back there; essentially making us all wait for no reason. The doctor herself tried to lecture my mom about how I wasn’t “having anaphylactic shock” mind you I have had the same life-threatening allergies for the past 23 years. And with my dad being a cardiologist, we know what the steps are when this occurs. Not even 5 minutes into her lecturing my mother I had to get up and use the restroom in which they unhooked me from my IV and told me I was good to go. I wasn’t gone another 5 minutes before I felt myself getting itchy and my hands turned purple. Hives covered my entire body in a matter of minutes and my oxygen was dropping rapidly and they had to hook me back up right away, and the doctor finally shut her mouth. This was handled the worst way it possibly could have been and mind you like I said I’ve had these allergies my whole life; I’ve been to the ER for this plenty of times before. Wherever these doctors and nurses are studying, they need to be examined harder. Very poor execution. Please do better in the future, no one else deserves going through these types of scenarios, especially when we’re entrusting our lives with these healthcare workers.

Staff doesn't seem to care about their patients, had to ask several times to speak with the Dr on the floor (3rd) I work at a hospital myself so I understand how busy it can be but in a 12 hr shift you only see your nurse once unless you call to me that's unacceptable if I could transfer my mom out of this place to my hospital I most certainly would. Would not recommend this place

my dad was at the hospital after breaking his leg, both bones were crushed. he was kept overnight but wasn’t provided with any hygiene products, my mom had to bring his toothbrush FROM HOME. his CN, janelle or janele, let him sit in pain for 3 hours while both of my parents begged for someone to bring him something for the pain. the night nurse came in and gave him something as soon as he asked thankfully, but janelle didn’t care about him nor intended on going back to his room. i called and asked for a supervisor and to no surprise, one wasn’t available! they asked for my phone number to call me back but never did. the worst hospital to go to, the staff doesn’t care. don’t go here. and janelle, learn how to care about your patients. 🙂

There was an issue with valet parking on last Thursday, were one of the employees in a red shirt yelled at my 82 years old aunt. I was appalled of his actions. I want to make a complaint on that employee. I feel like calling Baptist South and speaking to someone in customer service. It will fall on deaf ears. No elderly person should be treated this way, especially when the employee was not provoked or antagonized anything to that nature.
