I would like to express my feedback regarding my recent experience at the hospital. Dr. Hill was very professional, and I appreciated his care and expertise during my appointment. However, I had an unfortunate encounter with his nurse on November 6th.
The nurse was dismissive and spoke to me in an unprofessional manner, which I found concerning. I felt that my concerns were not addressed, and I experienced a sense of discrimination based on my ethnicity.
Additionally, when I attempted to provide the paperwork she requested for my appointment, she interrupted me and did not acknowledge my efforts. This left me feeling disheartened, as I believe that all individuals in the hospital, regardless of their background, deserve to be treated with respect.
While I had a positive experience with Dr. Hill, the interaction with the nurse significantly impacted my overall impression of the visit. I hope that measures can be taken to ensure that all staff members uphold a standard of professionalism and respect in their interactions with patients. Thank you for considering my feedback.

2 weeks later.... I called security to express my concern of daytime shift employees parking in the patient parking. They assured me they would take care of this issue. 2 weeks later while dropping my husband off, same cars, same people pulling into the PATIENT parking area at 6:22 am. It's not about the people parking at night in this location because patients aren't arriving for their appointments at the time of day. It's not that hard for you to park across the street and leave this area to those who really need this area. The following is the Mission of Baptist Health. If they can't even make sure patients have the availability of service of parking near their intended area, then they are falling short.

In fulfilling our mission, we place special emphasis on the values of service, honesty, respect, stewardship, and performance.

Service

Quality service is the foundation of any successful business and is even more essential in the provision of healthcare. Our success is dependent on each employee’s desire and commitment to serve others.

Honesty

Adherence to the moral values of fairness, integrity, and honor in all relationships is a major priority.

Respect

All people are to be treated as individuals with courtesy and thoughtfulness. Respect for each person’s dignity and worth is essential. Patients are to be treated with concern and compassion.

Stewardship

We prudently commit our resources, using our talents and strengths in an effective and efficient manner. Our facilities and equipment are maintained with pride.

Performance

Desired characteristics of Baptist Health employees include initiative, dedication, talent, and knowledge tempered by common sense. The highest possible performance from all employees is expected, but never at the expense of our values. It is imperative that complacency and mediocrity be avoided through innovation and progress.

While dropping my husband off at work, I noticed that the parking lot at BHMRI was getting full. At 6:30 am. people were pulling into the parking lot and it was filling up pretty quickly. These were not patients and there was a sign, "Patient Parking". I come here when my elderly mom (81) has an appt. and now I know why the lot is full. I saw 5 cars within a 4 minute span of time, pull in to park. All employees of BH. This is a shame. I've had to drop my mom off who has dementia and pray she will be okay while I go find a parking space that's across the road. Be Better Do Better

I was helicoptered in on Saturday and it is now Wednesday. From the ER doctor/staff, surgeon Dr Paul, all the nurses I had for #442, the meals, OR/ER staff, social services, even housekeeping have been so professional and caring. I do have to mention one lead nurse on the overnight shift. Horrible with names but I am sure everyone will know who I am talking about. Her knowledge, confidence in that knowledge, compassion and just being a great person was the best I have seen in any public field in my lifetime. This hospital and it's staff deserve all the positive recognition available. Thanks so much for making me feel I was the only patient you had to care for. Jim

I just gave birth here on 11/18 and had an amazing experience!! All my labor and delivery nurses were amazing especially the one who was with me during delivery, Kayla! She was outstanding and the best thing through the entire progress! The epidural process was also a great experience and they talked me through it and did awesome!! Overall I am so blessed to have had this experience and hope it will be the same next time around ❤️❤️

This is a review for AR Cardiology. The receptionist, there were 3, were so loud and unprofessional. All they did the whole time was talk to each other about their personal business (their love life) where the whole waiting room could hear. By the time I left I knew pretty much everything going on with the girl sitting closest to the door. Not to mention, all 3 looked like they just rolled out of bed and came to work. What happened to professionalism and being discreet? I’d expect better from a hospital!

Just had my first born there with the amazing Dr. Livers! The entire care team were phenomenal and so so helpful and patient with me. I loved my first experience giving birth and I owe some of that to the care team I had! Not to mention the anesthesiologist was so patient and kind to me through the whole epidural process as well!!

I literally had the worst experience in fast track er. A nurse Maddy just came and discharged me. I had no clue what my results were. I hadn’t even talked to anyone. They don’t even acknowledge you’re there. When I asked to speak to the floor manager (DON) she said no one is there on the weekend. I’ll take my chances at UAMS next time. When I was being wheeled out they were just all sitting behind desks.

A family member has many health issues and needs acute nursing care. However, due to insurance not being willing to pay more, he was discharged. No instructions were given, no lists of medications, nothing. Later we received 2 generic lists of what to except. He was handed over to a nursing home, which is not able to handle the level of care he needs. Most of the nurses were helpful, but their hands are tied. This hospital is not about patient care, they are about being paid. Very sad. I thought there was an oath that the physicians were to keep. I guess that has changed as well.
