So far they have been one of the best hospitals with actual caring staff. Now your always going to have those that judge you for what needs you might have such as some pain relief and they say you just had it 6 hours ago when the surgeon prescribed every 4. Hell that’s what it’s made for. It sure ain’t for plugging in your phone and updating your Facebook status about your organic pickle dehydrated egg beef sandwich that was grown from dirt that came from mars. The back surgery I got is so I hopefully don’t have the need for them anymore but who knows that sandwich might cure it. Other than that it’s like the experienced staff is your Friend but like family also. They talk professionally and just a good ole conversation about what their everyday life is like. To me that is excellent because I know they aren’t just here to do a job but to be a good person that cares for you and show compassion.

The nurse in outpatient pre-op was rude and unprofessional with her style of interagation of my medical history and meds. Only once did she check on me for over an hour. That one time she checked on me, I was sitting on the edge of the bed, and she entered and began to bark at me like I may be trying to escape. I was not comfortable lying in that bed.
I remained in that room, uncomfortable and my back went from a 2 to a 7 on the pain scale and no one seemed to care. Next time I'm not arriving 2 hours early to wait for my procedure. They had no respect for me or my time. Hold up,...there won't be a next time, I'll instruct my doctor to use another hospital.
Same thing in the post-op. I was placed in the room and no one bothered to check on me for an hour after getting me coffee and crackers. The nurse was too condescending with her attempting to make me feel good like I was a child who's needs encouragement and comfort. I am a grown man and have no need for childlike conversation.
And then to top it off, I never met the doctor, I don't even know his name.
Twice I almost pulled the IV out to get dressed and leave,...once in pre-op and once in post-op.
Terms of endearment like love, sweetheart, good-looking, darling, are reserved for my fiance and in some cases my family. Not total strangers. Call me sir, or by my first name.

Only reason why I give 2 stars instead of 1 is because the doctor knows what he is doing and was annoyed at everyone else not doing their job. Literally been here for 4 hours and all I've really heard is one person talking about a vacation spot, another talking about what they were having for their lunch and many more talking about their weekend plans. And i say this only for the E.R because when I was pregnant Labor and Delivery nurses and doctors were awesome.
