Horrible emergency room. 1 doctor and not even a nurse practitioner. Waited 4.50 hours and never seen. A man that came in after me with chest pains waited three hours before he finally complained and they took him. A Latino lady with a little boy with a high fever came in right after me and was still waiting when I finally walked out. Three other patients left while I was there because they were waiting forever ,The only good thing of the whole place was the nice older woman that sat at the desk. I seriously feel bad for the people of this area , I sure wouldn't want this to be my only choice for matters life threatening. I've worked in the medical field most of my life and never saw an emergency room more pathetic. Sad , sad situation

On our way home from Key West, we had a medical emergency & needed an ER. I have been in a few ERs, working & as a patient. This ER was the best, ever. The front desk taking care of my husband , the nurses taking immediate care of me & the Dr was one of the best. Marathon is definitely is the best of hands there!

This place was amazing. Dr Trujillo was great, Nurse Eric was wonderful. They took care of my 8 year old that needed 10 staples so wonderfully. The hospital was clean & professional. Very happy parent with the outcome & visit required on our trip to the Keys.

Sorry i had to take back my 5 stars and delete the nice message i wrote about this hospital because why am i honestly surprised? Not only is this the worst city I’ve ever lived in with two of the worst hospitals in the state, but these doctors and nurses genuinely just care about the paycheck. That’s why they spent all this time fighting for better pay, going on strike, while patients get less and less better treatment. When I have severe panic attacks that cause me to stop breathing, YOU DONT PRESCRIBE THE LOWEST MG MEDICINE ON A FRIKIN HOLIDAY WHERE I CANT EVEN GET IT. I HAVE HAD THE WORST TWO DAYS BECAUSE ALL I WANTED WAS HELP. ITS YOUR FRIKIN JOB TO HELP PEOPLE WITH THE BIGGEST SMILE ON YOUR FACE. Maybe you should take a look at who funds the hospital. Thanks.

I had an emergency appendectomy while on vacation in the keys. My surgeon at Fisherman's, Dr. Whitaker, was phenomenal. He was kind and caring and seemed to do a great job. I came to the ER and did not have a long wait. All the staff I interacted with were very kind and helpful. As good an experience as an emergency medical situation on vacation could be.

We are from out of town and anxious about where to get care late at night for a potentially broken bone. Ended up here because of a google search and so glad! The staff is kind yet efficient. Quality doctors who listen. The facility is extremely clean and I felt safe the entire time.

Multiple bad experiences with this hospital. Sadly we are locals and it’s the only option during the night. Not professional at all, staff tried to dismiss my husbands pain saying we could have done this at home. Well I’m not home I’m here paying a lot of money to have him taken care of properly. They couldn’t help my sons on two separate occasions- couldn’t tell if it was chicken pox? How do you not know It’s a last resort kind of place to go. Staff is rude and just talk talk talk making you wait forever while there is literally no one and nothing going on. Take their advice- stay home and fix it yerself!

This is a complaint from a mom who is 18 hours away from her sick daughter and feeling helpless sent her to this ER. Two nurses worked to draw her blood. She became upset due to the stress of them not finding a vein and began to cry. A nurse stated, "It will suck if you get cancer." I'm not sure if she was being funny or just rude but the statement was uncalled for. Another statement, "Did you think you could just pop in and pop back out?" when after 3 hours, no one had told her any diagnosis. The symptoms she stated: back pain, headache, and fatigue were not addressed. Instead she had a CT scan because her stomach was tender when the doctor performed his 5 minute exam. She was also told that she will have kidney stones due to crystals in her urine. When? Does she have them now? Will she have them in the future? My daughter is considered an adult in the 'eyes of the law.' However, she is really still a kid, 18 hours from family, working her first real job, and trying to figure out the world. She was alone, scared, and sick at this ER. I would think it was common human decency to have compassion for a sick person who is openly upset and stressed about the situation. Instead she left this hospital feeling stupid for seeking help.
