Usually this is a good place, however today it was bad. No communication with staff. Not once was I checked on by nursing staff, My wife had to repeatedly ask for a nurse to assist me. I ended up removing my own IV and was walking out of the ER when they rushed to get my discharge paperwork to me. I realize that emergencies happen, I was after all in the ER, but the lack of simple communication is an huge issue. The pain medication they gave me wore off twice while waiting.
When a patient is ignored that's a problem. When a patient or family member has to reach out to staff because no one is checking on the patient that is a problem. One of the worst feelings is being treated like less than a person and that's how I was made to feel.
The politest person in the ER was the janitor.
Overall it was the worst experience I've ever had in a hospital ER. It all comes down to communication and common sense. Simply telling a patient that they haven't been forgotten goes a long way.
You should send your staff to train at a restaurant so they can learn customer service skills as they have none.
I used to teach customer service in bar's and clubs for 20 + year's and could teach your staff to be better.

The place gets two stars because they are quick. I am currently in the ER and so far my interactions with the medical staff have been belittling and rude. The triage nurse spoke to me as though I should know medical stuff. The rooming nurse walked too fast without looking back and left saying “someone will come soon”. Those were her only words. The person doing my intake didn’t report any of my actual concerns to the dr regarding what brought me here in the first place. Everyone has bad days and I accept that but even the cleaning lady entered my room, opened my curtain and moved around my room without addressing that I was even in here. If more than half my interactions are rude and uncomfortable that’s not a bad day, that’s bad bedside manner.

Update: I left without completing testing or being treated, due to being treated like a task rather than a person.

I took my husband there for shortness of breath. The staff and doctor was great. They did blood work, chest ex ray, ekg. They were all very nice and helpful. My husband had walking pneumonia. I took him 3 days earlier to urgent care and they did not run any test. Thank you again for your patience and expertise.

Maureen our nurse was amazing! We had to go in because recently had knee surgery and something felt off. He hates going to the ER but we went anyway. Turns out to be a blood clot. But Maureen was just so sweet and made the experience really great. We were in and out within 3hrs.

I did not want to go to the emergency room today, but my boss and best friend made me. She said please go to Goldfield. I am so glad I went. My nurse Stephanie was fantastic. My doctor, Dr. Beth was so down to earth and wonderful and everyone that transported me x-rayed me scanned me or had anything to do with me was highly professional, friendly and appeared to like their job. This was the best Banner hospital experience I have ever had. I purposefully drove all the way from Chandler out to Apache Junction because the reviews for this hospital were the best. Thank you everyone for taking excellent care of me. I wish I could remember everybody’s names so that I could give you all an individual shout out because you deserve it.

It wasn't busy when either of us came, no waiting and little waiting for tests and diagnoses (Flu A and Covid). Staff were reassuring and responsive. Facility was clean, professional, seemingly well-equipped and staffed. Unlike our experiences 7-8 years ago, we'd be likely to go back.

The wait time was pretty reasonable considering the amount of people that were here. The doctor was beyond helpful, articulate, and incredibly thorough. Our nurse Jeff. Was not only funny amd beyond helpful and sweet. He went above and beyond any expectations to help my wife and I who happened to be stuck here for around 25 hours

The emergency room at this place is great. They took care of me quickly and very professionally. I recommend them if you find yourself needing emergency care.
