UPDATED Review***

The office manager called and went over all of my concerns from below and was able to explain why I needed to have an appointment when we did, she also provided her cell number if during if after 72 hours of requesting anything within their portal system, thanks again for all of the help.

I started seeing Dr. Smith as my primary doctor last year when we were in the Foley, AL area in Nov. 2023.

I explained that we travel throughout the year in our RV and would that be an issue getting my RX fills taken care of, to which I was informed "No, we would just need to know where to send the refill". So when they requested a telehealth appointment in April before they would refill I was kind of caught off guard, but made the appointment and the Dr started talking about lab-work that we had in Nov....no new labs had been performed so the only thing I could figure out was this was a courtesy call to check in......well no it was an appointment to collect a Dr's visit.

So fast forward to now and we are still not back in the area and won't be until Nov 1st, I called a few weeks (6) back to find out about getting a refill, they then said I had "plenty" of refills available, they would just need to be sent to the pharmacy for refilling.

On the 9/12/24 I made a request in the patient portal (Their way of communicating) and asked to have a refill sent to where I'm currently at.....then on 9/19/24 they asked if I was available for a telehealth prior to getting a refill!?!?!?!? I then call and try to get a resin as I have an annual physical for 11/12/24, so why do I need a telehealth appointment?

Currently I'm not sure if I will be seeing this office or Dr. after my next physical, it appears to just be a way to collect additional $40 co-pays as what can you do over the phone to ACTUALLY treat someone.

As an established patient, I went to this clinic as a walk-in this morning due to a fever that has persisted for several days. I was concerned because I am also on chemo medication. Doctor Amanda Smith took a lot of time listening to me and reviewing lab work. Very comforting to have a doctor like her to help me in a time of need. And, her team is stellar.

This office has become a total joke and dangerous disappointment! I have been a patient at the Glen Lakes office since they first opened years ago since I live conveniently behind their office. I would not settle for this Glen Lakes location because there is definitely something shady going on there. Zero integrity, Zero accountability, and VERY careless. Had all my medications messed up for 3 weeks and caused me to have to use the same insulin pen needle for several days because they wouldnt respond or request my needles properly. Found a new Dr in Elberta that had my insulin needles called in to my mail order pharmacy before I ever left the office. The staff also lies and has low ethics and they blame everyone else for your issues. Still have a lab bill from June of last year that my insurance has verified is eligible for pay but this office is still coding it as routine when it is NOT. This office promised me for months they would handle the corrections but a year later still have not and now I missed the deadline to appeal. The office now uses a central answering center so you cannot reach their office directly. They screen the messages and decide if they want to be bothered with you or not. They also ignore emails and I have to usually send another email days later asking for response. The office manager has also been zero help. I have requested that her boss give me a call, doubt that happens either. Sincerely, Michael McDonald

My husband just went in for a second opinion about a spot on his hand and only spent about 10 min with Dr. Smith. The bill came in for $409.00 for that one office visit with no labs or any other clinicals done. I called to speak with someone there and was told if we hadn't put it on insurance the charges for an office visit are $150, but with the insurance they billed $409.
Then, I asked to explain that more please, and was put on hold for over 20 minutes, with nobody picking up the phone, I decided to hang up. Totally dissatisfied and would not recommend this medical clinic because of their poor customer service and overbilling.

Walked in as they were telling a very sick elderly lady that her appt had to be rescheduled and that they “tired their best to call every number they had”. Told me the same and then she added that she had tried to call at 8am, that funny because I didn’t make my appt until noon. As soon as she was caught in a lie she wouldn’t say anything. wasting families time and money!

Harassing me with phone calls and texts for 2 months. I have never been to this doctor and I’ve been trying to call for a month and has not once answered. Very annoying and pathetic customer service skills.

I’ve been in and out of the doctors lately for an allergic reaction just getting a run around from my physicians. These ladies here at GlenLakes took care of me right away and actually where concerned for me! If I could make them my primary physicians I’d switch in a heart beat! Thank you so much for your help!
