Awful experience and a complete waste of my time - the office smells of a revolving door money pit & a see as many patients in as little time as possible type of vibe - I decided to try my luck anyways and got disappointment instead - right off the bat I was told to get x rayed for a problem that I know needs to be imaged with an MRI since it is not local to just one area - then I got to meet Dr. Sheikh who was totally unprofessional and condescending when I attempted to explain my situation and ask questions - the doctor put words in my mouth, suggesting I was downplaying his intelligence and felt the need to tell me he went to one of the best schools in the country - the fact he has to reassure himself of something like that is proof in itself he’s not a compassionate guy - thanks for wasting my entire morning - have fun collecting money on X-Rays before even having a discussion with a first time patient - I also show pity for the staff who he scolded for not enforcing “policy” which is to mandate patients into x-ray before consultation - You’ve gotta assume this allows them to collect extra dollars from insurance (or out of your pocket) when it may or may not even be necessary - at least they were decent enough to refund my copay

The Doctor is fine, but I had and appointment at 12:50 and I was seeing at 1:40, that was to long of a wait. I had another appointment at 2:00 that I missed because it took to long for the doctor to see me.

After meeting Dr.Sheikh, he immediately told me;
1. He wasn't getting involved in any legal claims.
2. Said my fall was probably because of clumsiness &'was all my fault.
3. Said there was nothing wrong with my left knee & right shoulder. I was just trying to get money.
4, He said he was an Atheist & I never ask his beliefs or non beliefs.
5. He said everytime one of us (black people) slip& falls, the first thing we think about is a "Lawsuit & getting money".
6. He did not ever give me a chance to speak & tell him why I was there or show him the brace I was given for my right wrist in the ER on 6/24)24 after my slip & fall.
7. Very unkind & disrespectful regarding my visit.
8. He might as well have called me a "Gold Digger" instead of a patient looking for Orthopedic care for my shoulder due to Arthritis.
9. He immediately accused me of being there for monetary reasons only.
10. Showed no Compassion or Care like it says on the facilities "hold" message.
I felt terrible while there & after I left because I needed to know what I could do to relieve the discomfort of Arthritis in my right shoulder. This was not a visit just to see if I was injured enough for legal representation. I suggest he listens to his patients & doesn't immediately become "Judge, Jury & Executioner". My PC referred me to that Orthopedic facility a few months earlier & after my fall, it felt like I really needed to go for medical treatment for the pain & discomfort I was feeling. I wish he had just given me a chance to speak before he handed down his verdict. I called back after I got home to see if I could get an appointment with another doctor & was asked to Not come back their facility & ask my PC for Another Orthopedic Doctor. I tried to hold back my tears, but was not able after I called back. I'm not the kind of person that resorts to Yelling, Screaming or using Profanity. Just needing medical care for my discomfort in my right shoulder & left knee. If he thought I shouldn't seek legal help, he could've said so with compassion & care instead of thinking he had me all figured out as someone just looking for a Monetary gain.I would not ever refer any of my Family & Friends to your Orthopedic facility because of the Terrible, Rude & Disrespectful treatment I was given. Thank you for your concern .

The front staff is friendly and very cooperative.
Also, the young X-ray tech was quick and efficient.
I didn’t see Dr. Shiekh this time. I saw Maurico, his nurse practitioner, and I had a nice rapport with him. I was very satisfied with my visit.
